Plaza Almendros Hotel Isla Mujeres

Perfect location for walkers, shopping and dining at your front door, five minutes to Playa Norte. Outdoor space and pool were wonderful! Clean, cool rooms with small kitchenettes, too.

This place was so open to help and be great with a wheelchair. The staff is amazing!! Loved the pool ❤ we will be back!

The property was not well kept. They overcharged for our rooms. The toilets only flushed about half the time. The pool was nice. The cleaning person was great. The location was good. The long term occupants made our stay less than inviting. They were NOT friendly and we did not feel welcome. I tried to talk to the manager who was always said to be coming in an hour and never seemed to show up. Overall disappointing and we were not expecting much.

Great location on the main tourist area with lots of restaurants and shops etc. Also a quick walk to Norte Beach. The pool was perfectly adequate and we had a great time sitting around it meeting other guests. Nothing fancy by any means but good value. We would stay again.

The location is great. However, the photos are somewhat like a bad Tinder date, taken from angles to make it the most appealing. The property is dated and in need of refurbishment. Water pressure in our room was almost nonexistent, having a shower was almost impossible. The cold water came out in a trickle, the hot water had pressure which meant getting burned or reducing the water to barely a trickle. The staff are nice and efficient, just the property is tired and needs help.

Right in the heart of downtown Isla. Nice music on the deck facing the street. Close to beach, dining,ferry, laundry, and everything you could want. Room spacious and clean. Staff attentive, no hot water in room on the first day and they had it fixed as soo as we reported it. Covid test done right in my room. I would recommend.

The location is great for being in walking distance to where the night life, restaurants and bars, shopping, beaches, the ferry, golf cart rentals (get a golf cart and explore). The check-in was easy even with me not speaking much Spanish. The air conditioner worked great and the balcony was really nice to have. There was a microwave and some dishes that we didn't use. The refrigerator didn't work nor did the volume on the TV but I wouldn't have known how to communicate that to the staff and was only there for three nights otherwise I would have really liked to have at least the refrigerator working. The beds are very hard and the pillows suck. They don't provide shampoo or conditioner but they do give bars of soap and towels to use at the pool. There is always a staff member who will let you in after hours so it didn't feel unsafe at all. For the price and the location, this place was worth it.

The room had all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. Room at poolside and all restaurants right outside the property. Very conveniently located.
