Kena Beach Hotel

A smaller hotel but with provided a great experience. The staff were outstanding from reception to the bar. The rooms were very cool (we had a family room) and large, clean and very well appointed. The restaurant always looked good with many options enough to satisfy kids too. The kids also loved the pool & table tennis games room. The Dive centre in the hotel was also excellent and one of the reasons we chose this hotel. It all worked well. Just over an hour from the airport but plenty stuff to do at or near hotel with Mnemba Island just a short boat ride away!

Pas de groupe électrogène Ballon d’eau chaude trop petit pour le jacuzzi et la douche On ne nous donne jamais le code internet, faut revenir à chaque fois le demander Pas de restauration entre 14h30 et 19h Nous font signer les bons à chaque repas mais ne nous donne pas notre exemplaire Peu de choix dans le buffet, fruits des jours précédents resservies, cuisine très moyenne, cocktail sans alcool à 9$ avec verre en plastique lol Robinet eau chaude/ froide inverse Pas de lumière sur le miroir de la SDB, lumière derrière soi, on voit rien (éclairé au portable lol)

Sehr nettes und zugewandtes Personal, immer freundlich, höflich und hilfsbereit. Sehr schöner endlos langer weißer Sandstrand. Nur wenige Menschen. Wenige Beach Boys, die nicht zum Hotel kommen dürfen, auch nicht an die Liegen am Strand. Die Anlage liegt in einem schönen supergepflegten, blühenden Garten. Landestypische Palmendächer auf den hübschen kleinen Bungalows, die geschmackvoll eingerichtet sind.

Loved the room, the staff were super attentive, hotel is also really aesthetic and well positioned on the beach. I had a great driver called Suleman for most of my activities, he was great and made me feel very comfortable as a solo traveler.

Location is far from main attractions (stone town/kendwa/jozani), but that makes it more quiet and tranquil so you just have to choose what you value more. I was personally very happy in this location but it obviously cost more in transfers/taxis etc when I did things

Location is good and overall it’s an ok stay.

Breakfasts were great, the staff were delightful, fabulous beach, great plus to have a good dive center on site. The resort was beautifully done with thoughtful architecture for views and breezes. Our room was spacious and private.
