Kena Beach Hotel

Quite,isolated and intimate the rooms were huge with a secend outside secluded shower and lovely balcony facing a beautiful well maintained garden,the staff were extremely friendly. We got to known them intimately. The food was great. We booked only bed and breakfast but we ate all our meals at the hotel every day and every evening there was something different to eat every day and all very tasty the evening cocktails were also excellent we tried them all 😊 The on-site scuba diving centre “Scuba fish” owned by Ludwick and his wife was so professional and we had amazing dives too. We highly recommend this hotel Also it is a sustainable hotel and it even purifies its own water.

Really cozy and quiet place. A lot of plants on the hotel area, feels like a little jungle. Perfect to relax. Nice view on the sea side with plenty of possibilities to sit/lay day during the day. Staff is exceptional friendly. Awesome terrace in the room. Highly recommend a stay, if you want to relax. Eventually, we extended by two nights.

A lot of beach boys on the beach. When walking around, it takes 5 seconds until somebody comes around and wants to sell something. But it’s the same for other hotels all around sansibar.

The hotel and the grounds were very well maintained and beautiful. Wonderful people and great food. Very close to Mnemba Island with an adjacent dive shop.

This place was heaven! I even stayed longer than I first had planned. I went there as a solo female traveler and felt super safe and taken care of. Staff treated me like a family, tours were easily fixed and well organized on the island, food and drinks was delicious, beach wonderful, and the room was super clean and comfortable. A lot of people write about the sellers on the beach but honestly I had no problem with them at all. They are super nice to talk to if you decide to take a walk along the beach (they respect the property border) and respect you when you say that you want to walk alone. But if you are a little nervous about that it is good to know that hotel have staff at the beach at well.

I have nothing bad to say about the hotel! Though the price for half board was on booking more expensive than at the hotel. But that is maybe because booking gets a provision. But if you are on a budget that can be good to know. The staff let me upgrade to halfboard at the hotel so it was no problem for me.

Wow, wow wow!!!!!! Honestly, if I can give this place 10 out of 10 I would .This hotel was beyond my expectations. The staff went beyond and above the cleanliness of the room was top-notch. The food was to die for I am in Boston craving it currently. For anyone traveling to Zanzibar this is the place you have to go to. Beach is walking distance so it’s super convenient. Communication with manager was amazing even before I arrived fast and efficient. I would love to shout out The following employees that made my stay here in Kena Beach all worth it, Sarah, asteria,Elizabeth, Fadhil and Suniluman. Thank you all and look forward to my next visit. Truly a wonderful experience, the staff were amazing, Hishma was receptive to all our needs. The property is peacefull and beautifull.

Some items from the all inclusive menu were often out of stock, however we did go at the end of the low season, so it is understandable, they did try to replace it asap.
