"The perfect stay on the paradise beach"

The staff was extremely friendly and caring. Nothing is lacking during the entire stay. The beach at Matemwe is beautiful and the dive school Scubafish, located at the hotel, is a professional crew that offers the perfect tour to Mnemba Island reef.

You have to be aware that in Matemwe you are a bit off the beaten track. But this is by no means negative.

we enjoyed so much our stay at the hotel first of all because the atmosphere is really nice and relax with lovely staff from morning to evening. importantly the food is just excellent !

"Exceptional"

Everything! We really loved the hotel's atmosphere, the natural wood, the lots of green and colourful plants everywhere. All persons of the staff were superfriendly, smiling all the time, and always had some nice words to you. The food was absolutely delicous, I am sure the desserts were made in haeven! :) And I can tell you the same about the beverages. The beach is also great, with the very interesting low/high tide experience. We went on a reef tour during the low-tide, and our guide was so nice and funny and gave us a lot of knowledge about those amazing sea creatures. I also really loved the idea, that you could refill your bottles, thus reduce the amount of plastic bottles using during your stay. They also showed deep attention to the hygiene during making and serving foods and beverages and protecting from insects - we didn't see any ants, spiders or mosquitos in our room. But we saw bushbabies at night on our balcony :) Overall, it was a great experience, we loved to stay here, even better than pictured. We would gladly choose it again! 🤗

"A very nice hotel but they need to up their game on the catering"

The rooms are very good with comfortable beds..The overall ambience of the hotel is positive with many places to relax in comfort

The breakfast is very average and not up to the standard of other hotels I have stayed at in Zanzibar.The evening meal was served on an a la carte basis and unfortunately my food ,although of good quality, arrived at the table cold on 3 of my 5 night stay. I suggested that they would be best to serve a buffet dinner
