Had booked a room in Blowfish. Got an "upgraded" to Vertigo. ????? The Vertigo hotel is in renovation. Dont know if I had a renovated room, or a very old room. Paintwork was terrible. electric was terrible. hot and cold water was connected wrong. Reprted everything on reception, NO REPLY FROM MANAGER> as asked. Was in Blowfish before. The standard room in Blowfish wash better then the suposed superior room in Vertigo

The location was good and most staff (aside from the person who completed my check-in) were friendly.

The hotel is very dated and not the standard of a 5 star hotel. The bed was uncomfortable - extremely hard. I had to check out days earlier despite having already paid in full as I could not sleep there. The breakfast was extremely limited. They only had one key for the room available (of which I had to wait for the cleaners to provide it in order to access the room). The hotel needs refurbishment as there is a lot of wear and tear which gives the place a dirty feel. Parking is available but limited. You may not get to park in the actual compound of the hotel.

Positive about this location; . It is in VI so central lots of restaurants and spots. However there were many issues with this hotel. 1. There were frequent power outages — one time I was in shower and had to wait for 5mins for the water to come back on. An inverter would be a good idea. 2 I had to ring for toilets rolls and towels as they forgot to include upon checkin, 3.Checkout was horrendous as they almost put the wrong charge on my bill, and didn’t really seem like they knew what they were doing. 4. The breakfast selection wasn’t the best. Kind regards. Adeola
