The hotel was dirty. The staff was friendly and was doing their best to work with what they had. Would not stay here again. We felt unsafe because of the aggressive outside dwellers.

The bed was comfortable.

We booked the Travelodge Wyndham in North Battleford expecting a comfortable stay with the advertised amenities. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, it was obvious we had made a mistake. The exterior looked run down, and the parking lot was a nightmare to navigate — no pull-through option to unload luggage, and very limited maneuvering space. Walking inside, we were hit with an overpowering smell — old, musty, and possibly moldy. At check-in, we learned that the pool and hot tub (a key reason we booked this hotel) were closed. The elevator was also out of service, and our room was on the 3rd floor. Once in the room, things got worse. Our only window was broken, and the view was directly onto the HVAC unit covered in pigeon droppings. There was no security clasp or deadbolt on the door. Later that night, we saw an unhoused individual sleeping in the lobby. Feeling unsafe, we wedged an ottoman against our door. The carpet had a large, questionable stain, and there was no doorstop to prevent the door from damaging the wall. The bath took over 25 minutes to fill due to almost nonexistent water pressure, and the heating didn’t work — only air conditioning was available on a cold night. The included breakfast was disappointing: nothing fresh (not even fruit), just frozen items to microwave, with little to no healthy options. In the parking lot, we saw several unhoused individuals loitering. Other guests we spoke to at the festival reported similar — or worse — experiences, including no hot water at all. To top it off, our room wasn’t cleaned after our first night. No fresh towels, no coffee pods, and no replenished toilet paper unless we asked at the front desk. We’ve stayed at other Wyndham Travelodges before without issue, but this experience was so poor that it has completely put us off the brand. Recommendation: Stay anywhere else.

Pool wasnt working. Someone has definitely, at some point, died in the stairwell.

5 minutes to get hot water, advertised pool closed, motel not an hotel, breakfast eggs and sausages were frozen and you had to microwave them.
