Super 8 by Wyndham Saskatoon Near Downtown

I had to be moved to three different rooms, which were all completely dirty. The carpets were not vacuumed. The room was not dusted. There were drink stains on the counters. The bed had marks in it like stains big blue stains. It was horrendous. It was so bad that I had to request for a clean pillowcase just so that I knew I had one pillow to use out of all four of them. I don’t recommend this hotel. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The cleanliness was so disappointing. I work in a hotel and I am a kitchen manager as well as I was the room checker for our hotel and I was the head supervisor for housekeeping and I’m telling you if my rooms ever look like that I would fire my staff immediately this was very disappointing just because you’re located where you are doesn’t mean you have to look like that image your hotel could be the most spectacular hotel in that whole regional area but it’s on you to make it look that way as we entered the door was locked. I felt like we were about to enter a prison or be locked in for our own safety, which I’ve never had any hotel ever this was very sketchy feeling. I didn’t know how to feel about it.

First, there are 2 different Super 8 hotels in Saskatoon - one near downtown (where I had a bad luck to make a booking) and one near airport which is very strange for such a small town. The one near airport is apparently OK. I checked a rating on TripAdvisor and the rating was good, but the rating was for Super 8 hotels near airport. I put a check-in time at 1-2am next day. The booking was PREPAID through Agoda. When I arrived (at 2:40am) the room was not available. The guy at front desk told me that he didn't have my arrival time in my reservation (lie!). He proposed me the only available room that was not cleaned, with dirty bed and food on the floor. I refused. I thought that it would be better for me to spend the remainder of the night in my rental car which I did at airport. The front-desk guy proposed me the cancellation which I accepted. But for him the cancellation didn't mean refund! He told me that Agoda must refund me money, not him. When I called Agoda (their phone number is not provided on their website, I had to search for it online in the middle of the night) they told me that hotel should refund me, not Agoda. Agoda refunded me only after I mentioned that I will apply for charge back from credit card and go to Small Claims court. The hotel is extremely dirty. When I read online reviews afterwards people even mention bedbugs. I think Agoda is just slowly destroying their own business having such hotels available on their website. And I will try to avoid booking through Agoda going forward.

No bed bugs.

Room was a mess. Blood and writing on the walls. TV didn't turn on, ripped bedding. Nothing wiped down at all. Smoke alarm ripped off. Didnt even bother to give me a discount just said if wasnt satisfied we can leave.

Not much. There was very limited parking for larger vehicles, but the front desk staff was nice and helpful

Everything was dirty, old or broken. Tv screen, mirror were not cleaned. Wouldn’t keep anything in the fridge as it didn’t look sanitary. I pulled out a nightstand to reach the plug in, to find bottle caps, garbage and dried spills down the wall.

Stains on bed sheets, garbage in garbage cans still, pubic hair in the toilet seat, stains on the towels, toilet would not flush. Terrible Terrible place

Non of the drink vending machines had anything in them. Bathroom floor was filthy in the corners!

Not much.

Everything. Water main break, rooms dirty, bedding wasn’t clean, mould in the fridge and microwave, dresser drawers had tobacco in them, door lock was broken, bathroom faucet didn’t work, shower didn’t put out any pressure, so couldn’t shower and didn’t want to bath because there was a gross layer of scum on the tub.
