Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Slippery Rock

I liked that it had a pool for my kids. Didn't care for the location of the room.

Property was clean and staff was pleasant. Rooms were quite.

Our only dislike was the free breakfast. It was the typical fare - make-your-own waffles, bread and muffins, eggs, sausage, cereals, coffee, milk and juices. But there were issues with everything. No batter for waffles, cold eggs, greasy sausage, expired milk, watery apple juice and a toaster that warmed but didn’t actually toast. We took two bites of sausage and went back to the room.

Not a lot of hotels to choose from in the area, but this was a perefct stay! The staff was amazing, the room was clean and the breakfast was the best I've had in a hotel in a long time. Will definitely be staying again.

The rooms heating and cooling control is a the mix option. You can't choose to have heat only or cool only. It turns on the AC or heater based on room temp and desired temp. Therefore in the winter time if you would like the room to be a few degrees colder at night, the AC will cool the room instead of just letting the room temp fall and heater turn on at that lower temp to maintain it. A little annoying to have the room at 70 degrees during the evening and then set the desired temp to 66 to have the AC blow cold air in the room.

We had a great stay. We came into town for a event at Slippery Rock and it was very close to campus.

Clean, great location, QUIET, room comfortable. Staff extremely friendly! 100% recommend.

Con - shower made high pitched squealing noise the entire time anyone showered. Tried multiple ways to get it to stop. Not a deal breaker.
