Horsley Lodge Hotel

Lovely room and setting. Very good value. The thing that I really enjoyed was being able to check out on time and then enjoy a relaxed breakfast.

Beautiful setting, lovely cottage and excellent staff. A wonderful stay.

I travel a lot, worldwide and stay on 2*~5*. This being a premium stay was disappointing to say the least. At nearly £200pn, it looked lovely in the photos. Coffee machine not working, no offer to replace! Tap in kitchenette, spraying water all over back wall when used. Not a new issue judging by damage. Set of lights not working on bedroom, Paint peeling from wall in bathroom. All liveable issues but not acceptable when paying premium rates; the details matter! And don’t get me started on dining experience!

Second stay really comfy and well looked after.

The stay overall was great. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was really good. We arrived later than expected and there were building works happening in the main hotel so someone waited for us and explained that we had been upgraded to a cottage so we weren’t disturbed by the noise. The only things were that the water out of the hot tap for the bath was not very hot, and something had been spilt next to the bed so the carpet could do with a clean. Not our first choice of hotel in Derby but a good option nonetheless.

Our women stay in the hotel was splendid. Young ladies loved especially the bed and the sauna :) mums also loved the sauna and the bath.we felt spoiled! Breakfast was delicious and warm. Thank you ☺️

We weren’t informed that the restaurant and bar were closed for refurbishment. The reception staff left after we checked in and we had to find a local pub for food. Once back at the hotel, no staff on site! Full rate was charged.

Lovely room, great staff, fab afternoon tea. Very nice breakfast, just could of been a bit warmer. Overall very good stay

We won’t be staying again , a wedding was being held at the time our room was close to activities so quite noisey, when in the dinning area we were told can only eat when the wedding had been catered for first. Gave the impression that if not part of the wedding not as important, the room was clean but the bed not comfortable and quite small, it was an executive room , expected a bit more comfort.
