meals were a little underwhelming, poor quality ingredients and smoked bacon is certainly not to everyone's taste

The full Englushh breakfast was freshly cooked. It was very quiet, with a nice garden.

The website suggests they serve lunch every day but they don't. You need to check and book in. Breakfast at the weekend only starts at 8.30.

Very nice and clean. The staff were excellent and super helpful. Beautiful building and the food was top notch. Very quiet and with a lush garden.

The staff were lovely. The location was wonderful, but some of the specific things, not so much. I'd suggest that when the weather is as hot as it was when we arrived, that the fans in the room should already be turned on - the air was stale and stuffy. I'd also suggest having water in the rooms, if possible.

You need a bigger wine list, to include some decent wines - that don't have to be super-expensive, but just those three or four of each type/colour doesn't really do it for such a lovely place. Also - to be a pedant about it, the menu is full of spelling and grammar mistakes. Sorry - the teacher in me shuddered! The burgers were great, but the chips needed to be cooked a bit longer.

Friendly staff, fan in the room on the hottest day of the year. Quality of food at breakfast fantastic! Clean room, spotless bathroom.

Felt a little penny pinched, 3 night stay with same towels, charged if more requested. Minimal effort into tea tray in room, limited offer, charged if more requested, 1 pack of biscuits for 2 people to share for 3 night stay. 1 slice of toast at breakfast, had to specifically request marmalade.
