The Clarendon Hotel

Really close for the sea, pier and local amenities. The room was clean (apart from the grape found under a chair 🤷‍♀️), and a decent sized fridge meant we could keep our wine chilled. It was great to have a walk-in shower AND a bath which suited our party perfectly.

Our room access was directly off the street, so didn’t see any staff and felt a little bit vulnerable. Although there were 3 of us, I think £185 a night was expensive for room only accommodation, particularly as there were no onsite bar/restaurant facilities, and due to the street access to the room, we didn’t see any staff. The ‘living room’ area wasn’t as comfortable as the photos suggested.

Room was lovely and clean with lots of facilities available. View and location was perfect. Staff very friendly. Cleaned to a very high standard daily. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk avaible which is rare in lost places. Even a microwave with crockery and cutlery available. There was a button on the inside of the door that you pressed on check out to let the staff know you'd left! 🙂 Good idea!

Nothing really. Bed was a little soft for our liking but wouldn't complain.

Good location, easy access and the room was clean.

We were unable to control the heating in room, making it too uncomfortable to sleep well. The single beds were too small, possibly only 30".

Might be difficult if you have mobility problems as there are a few stairs

The Clarendon has very good rooms: clean, comfortable, and with good faciltiies - microwave and fridge and a good bathroom. The beds have nice linen and comfy mattresses. Overall, very good value and well-located.
