"Perfect home away from home stay with wonderful breakfast and fantastic host"

Perfect location, ample facilities, clean, and a touch of home rather than a hotel made us feel extremely welcomed. Our host Elaine was wonderful, accommodating and communicative from the outset and ensured a perfect stay throughout. A wonderful breakfast was the cherry on top on our short stay before catching the ferry.

This is a lovely guest house, conveniently located for the ferry to Ireland. Our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. Elaine was very friendly and welcoming.

"Amazing stay ❤️"

Elaine was such an amazing host and the place and vibes were all positive. I made a late check in and Elaine sent precise instructions about how to access the guesthouse and even suggested options on how to make it from the Cairnryan port to the Lake View. Making it late at night to such a cozy and nice place after a long trip was all I needed. Breakfast had a lot of options and again, even though I made it late, Elaine arranged in a way I could still get my breakfast the next day. During the breakfast Elaine was very attentive and kept checking everything was ok or if anything else was needed. Would definitely stay again :)

"A perfect spot."

The breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect for exploring Stranraer.

The only minor negative was that the tap on the bathroom sink didn't hang out far enough over the sink, making hand-washing a little awkward.

"Lovely little guest house in a lovely part of the country."

Our rooms were beautifully kept. Plenty of space and our own little living room. Our breakfast was perfectly cooked in a very sweet dining room overlooking the sea. Everything was kept spotlessly clean. Elaine and Alain were so warm and friendly. Doing anything they could to make our stay perfect, which it was.

Only the weather, nothing could be done about that!
