My wife and I spent one night at the Villas resort. The resort and rooms are a bit dated and, while our room overlooked the bay, the beach area for the resort was too small for the size of the resort and not that close to many of the rooms in the hotel. The resort is within walking distance of some good restaurants, but there are significantly better places to stay on the island.

Convenient location for numerous dining and drinking options within walking distance. The grounds are well kept. The rooms are clean and comfortable, outfitted with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We cooked breakfast in the room everyday and enjoyed in on our patio looking over the bay. What really shines hear is the staff. They are friendly and helpful, even entertaining at the swim up and beach bars. We can't wait to come back again.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with a private Terrace. The set up of the rooms was great as there is so much space and privacy. You can close the bedroom doors and others can use the sink area and then there was another door for the toilet/shower. You could also close the door to your bedroom & bathroom with a common living room/kitchen. The private terrace was unbelievable and is so worth the extra money (which wasn't a lot). There are just limited rooms available with the private terrace. The private terrace had 4 lounge chairs, a table, a bar with a TV, hot tub and a grill and it is just for your room. The staff attitude at the resort was mixed. A lot of staff seemed really annoyed and unhappy, which was so different than our experience on the island. Everyone else outside of the resort was really nice, happy and wanting to help us. I had to pay $6 to use the gym per day, which wasn't bad, but felt like it should have been included. The breakfast buffet food was terrible. We received 2 free breakfast buffets and ended up not even using them after the first day. The only place we ate at the resort was the beach bar, which was good - bar food, which is what you would expect. Overall you cannot beat the space and accomodations at the villas and I would return for that alone.
