Lovely room, great food, great value.

Breakfast not being served until 0900 was a problem, but there were snacks in the room.

A beautiful old building in a lovely village setting, friendly helpful staff, comfortable room. Our food in the evening was delicious and breakfast was superb.

We didn’t realise there was a the service charge on the menu which added to our food bill.

Cooked breakfast was good - only available from 9am which was later than I would have liked. There was an alternative of cereal and fruit juice provided in the room but I can't pass on the opportunity for a Full English. Parking was off street behind the pub with spaces available when I arrived at around 8pm. Kettle provided and plenty of drink options - including real milk in the fridge.

Some instructions for the TV would have helped - eventually found my way into iPlayer.

Really lovely place, welcoming staff. Great room with clean and fresh decor. Loved the mini fridge with supplies and range of tea and coffee

Perhaps could do with a small desk in the rooms for business travellers, but apart from that the place is excellent

Lovely town. We always stay here when visiting the area. Food has always been great. Good value breakfast included in our stay .

A very pleasant hotel in a peaceful rural setting, conveniently close to the A1. The room was comfortable and the surroundings made for a restful stay.

Unfortunately, the kitchen closed half an hour earlier than the advertised time, so I was unable to get dinner and went to bed hungry. It was also disappointing that breakfast wasn’t available until after 9am, so I had to forgo the included breakfast to get to work on time. A shame, as a decent breakfast would have made up for the missed evening meal.

Very quirky . Beer garden excellent for kids but unfortunately didn’t have time to really enjoy it . The manager and owner were fabulous giving me and my family a lift to and from the wedding and kitchen staff made dish finger and chips for my two hangry grandkids post wedding (kitchen had closed) . Pity we didn’t have time for breakfast as had ferry to catch and had to leave at 9am

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room had a fridge and a fan. Very comfortable bed. Lovely location

Cooked breakfast not served until 9am, which is no good if you have to work. However they did make me a bacon sandwich the night before to keep in the fridge. However not as good as a full English which was included in the price.
