Three Tuns Ashwell

Very reasonable for this overnight stay with a fabulous full English included!

We really enjoyed our three nights in this old-fashioned English Inn, and the village of Ashwell. The bed was comfortable, the food good, the staff friendly and helpful, and the bath was a bonus. We even liked the steep and winding stairs - good exercise for the quads.

Central location in beautiful village within easy reach of A1/A505. Our room was at front of building and comfortable although reasonaby compact.

There were steep stairs up to the second floor which would have been a struggle if we had more luggage. Breakfast was poor - no cereal, fruit, cheese, cold meats or breads. Just a single plate of cooked food with, in our case, inedible burnt bacon and no has browns. Unfortuately there were very noisy and foul mouthed people leaving the pub at closing time right outside our window which was open due to the warm evening.

Plumbing in shower. Noise from road outside on front. Stairs terrible!!

Well maintained and pretty pub, lovely garden

Lovely room, great food, great value.

Breakfast not being served until 0900 was a problem, but there were snacks in the room.
