Great location in a lovely village

It was very tired looking and the hot water barely came out of the taps. More like a 2 star than a 3star hotel. Very disappointed

Cramped shower

The location in Ashwell is excellent and should be an amazing place to explore the village and it's history.

The Accommodation has deteriorated considerably since we stayed 8 years ago. The room we were given smelled strongly of the landlord's dogs and was unpleasant to the extent that we spent only sleeping time in the room. The bathroom was not clean, the shower head was dirty and we found a used toothpick on the floor. There was dust piled in the corners of the bedroom and the mattress was cheap and uncomfortable. Given this experience we declined the Breakfast and ate from the local bakery (which is amazing). We have been visiting Ashwell for over 20 years and this was by far our poorest experience.

Easy to find and close to our friends

The door lock was hard to use.

Lovely rooms, very clean. Staff very friendly. Fresh milk & bottled water in fridge. Breakfast was very nice too. Would definately stay again.

The staircase up to rooms was a bit steep, not for the elderly!

Cut above the average, including a fridge with OJ, milk and some breakfast items.

We’ve stayed at the Three Tuns a couple of times now. We love the quirkiness and the olde worlde feel to the place, the comfortable rooms and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very good and they have specials nights too. The village of Ashwell is lovely with its old buildings and beautiful church.
