Somerton Lodge Hotel

Lovely hosts. Breakfast was great with excellent service. Room was comfortable and clean with easy access to free WiFi. Lovely garden and communal areas. Highly recommend.

Small rooms little natural light through small window. Shower tray filled up when used drained very slowly. Didnt find hairdryer until last day at the back of drawer. As it is in covid restraints you dont have the service you expect (making of beds,replenishing toileteries and tea coffee and the such) although you can ask for more at the small reception thus the price should be reduced. Breakfast good. Would not stay here again

Loved the place and our hosts, John, Dave and Anne - nothing was too much trouble for them. The Lodge is set in beautiful grounds, mature and well maintained garden. Enjoyed our breakfasts. Ample car parking at the rear. A short walk away from the centre and the beach.

Great place to stay,on the island . Very friendly and helpful staff , beautiful property and so clean. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean also. Only had breakfast there but again was excellent amd speedy. Total covid secure and i enjoyed my stay. Thanks

No cleaning in the room or service in the room, no clean towels, bedding, toiletries, the bin was not even emptied, comments like the cleaner does not really understand english was not comfortable with us or acceptable, just an excuse to do limited work in our opinion and at 92GBP per night was not value for money. If you do not drive thankfully the bus stops directly outside but with limited every 30-60 minutes.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Lovely garden and lounge area. Clean comfy room. Very nice breakfast. Worth mentioning that this is an alcohol free hotel. No mention on Hotels.com about this. Wasn't a problem for us, particularly given it was a short stay and we had lots of plans. But Hotels.com really should make it clear.
