The Ship Inn

Netter Pub Stay in einem typisch englischen Küstenort, nicht zu weit von der Fähre in Dover entfernt. Für die erste Nacht zum Ankommen nach der langen Reise vom Festland sehr gut erreichbar. Hübsche Zimmerchen, abends sehr gutes Essen im Restaurant, Preis-Leistung für die Qualität des Essens sehr gut. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut. Vom Haus aus ist der langgezogene Strand leicht und schnell erreichbar und auch das Örtchen selbst ist für einen Bummel zum Ankommen am ersten Abend gut geeignet, ebenso wie die pittoreseke Kirche mit Friedhof direkt gegenüber.

Mein Zimmer ging leider zur Straße raus, dadurch war es nachts etwas laut, sobald ein Auto vorbei fuhr. Die Treppe zu den Zimmern ist leider etwas steil und mit einem etwas größeren Koffer schwierig.

Service and room overall was good. However the toilet seat in our room was broken and it was very hot making it difficult to sleep which was a shame as the bed was so comfy! A fan in the room would have made a big difference. Breakfast was fabulous. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Het was een prachtige locatie. De eigenaar was heel aardig. We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Ik kan het iedereen aanbevelen.

All the food was delicious. The atmosphere was cheerful and friendly. All staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Our room was huge, clean and gorgeous. Plenty of water to drink, biscuits and good tea and coffee making facilities. We arrived quite late, after check in time, and the staff did their upmost to enable us to be let in and show us to our rooms. Jackie was wonderful and made us feel welcome and comfortable.

The stairs were a little bit difficult but I don't think they could be changed and they added to the charm of the place, as they were obviously very old. People with severe mobility issues, may have an issue, but that's the same with any old property. We arrived quite late, after check in. Jackie let us in, but we feel it might make things a little easier if there was a key box outside, left for the odd latecomer, with the accommodation keys and instructions inside, lockable with a code, known only to the latecomer and reception. This would avoid any member of staff having to be woken up.

Staff were excellent and the pub is a great place to visit and stay, would definitely recommend
