The Ship Inn

It was (literally) 3:30pm on Christmas Day and this saved me, following a failed booking elsewhere. Staff were really nice and welcoming. Breakfast was incredibly tasty, with a very wide range of options, along with flexibility of the menu. Thank you, to all that were on shift, both Christmas and Boxing Days. You saved our Christmas 👍🏻

I didnt like that I wasn't there earlier. I would loved to have unwound in the bar as well as enjoyed the stay.

Lovely little hotel and pub/restaurant, food was excellent both in the evening and at breakfast. Our room was very spacious and included a little sitting area and a beautiful dressing table. The shower was spacious and the whole place lovely and clean. Parking was easy and plentiful. People mention the stairs being steep which is also acknowledged by the hotel but we are both nearly 70 and managed ok, there is a rail to grab and the receptionist offers to help with luggage if required.

Breakfast offered wide choice and plenty of it.

We received a warm welcome on arrival, and everything was easy and relaxed. Our room was beautiful and clean. It was huge and great value for money. Gorgeous quirky old pub, but well renovated and clean. Staff were super friendly. We ate an evening meal in the restaurant, and the food and service was great. The beds were very comfortable. We had a spare bed in our room, and the staff kindly accommodated my father at late notice, which saved us a difficult situation.

My only comment would be that it would have been lovely to have some filter coffee at breakfast, as the coffee was instant.

Very spacious room, nice touches like the teas, coffees and biscuits. Roll top bath was lovely and a beautiful view of the sea. Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked with high quality produce.

Shower would have been nice.

Requested 8am breakfast so we could leave at 8.30 for the Shuttle. Came down on time but then had to call the member of staff on mobile after waiting 5 mins. He eventually came down 5 mins later. A cooked breakfast was then prepared quickly which tasted good. Made it quite stressful though!
