Great breakfast. 5 mins to rail to get to Edinburgh. Good pub atmosphere

Not suitable for elderly, as the stairs to the room were quite steel and narrow.

Very nice place, great room, lovely staff and good food. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I couldn’t get the tv to work I’m sure they would have sorted it but I wasn’t really bothered so I never asked.

Comfortable bed. Adequate tea, coffee etc

Not being informed in advance that bar and restaurant was closed (for refurbishment according to sign). The only other pub in the village was also closed. No attempt by Manager to apologise or provide transport to a suitable restaurant. Noisy road, hard to reach sash window to close.

first and foremost the food was very and i really mean very good. My room was nice and clean everything you need was there. Also it is ideal if you want to visit Edinburgh it's just a short way to drive. If i ever visit Edinburgh again i'm staying here for sure.

Le confort de la chambre, , très calme malgré la route qui passe devant. Un grand parking gratuit et la proximité des Pentlands hills .

J’ai moins aimé le petit déjeuner ( non compris dans le prix de la chambre) que j’ai trouvé assez cher pour ce que c’était..

From the poe faced un-smiling bar tender who checked us in, to him checking us out the whole birthday treat was a debacle! Not worth the money spent and very disappointed. Have wanted to try out the Sun Inn for ages and wished we hadn't bothered. Shocking! Craig didn't know what keys where what, what time dinner or breakfast or check out either, we tripped over the henry hoover, dirty towels and linen on the way to the room (at least the cleaner smiled and said hello). The room was large and perhaps when it was first refurbished it would have been amazing.... however very tired now... Cigarette ends around the freezing cold 'hot tub' with rusty pumps and a hood that was not attached. Door hanging off the sauna, and no working instructions. Outdoor seating covers disgustingly dirty and covered in bird poo Dirty curtains, marks on walls, sink tap hanging off, hook on bathroom door ripped off, flooring coming apart and dust everywhere. No hair dryer, no milk, no biscuits 😢 no guide to local facilities/attractions or the Inn itself! Even a wifi code or opening times would have been a wee bonus! (£245 per night for bed and breakfast) i would have thought we'd at least get some luxury toiletries - body lotion, shower gel, conditioner, cotten buds, Instead we got a tiny bar of soap and a tiny bottle of shampoo 😀 know its Scotland but this was stingy, miserable and mean! Lunch/Dinner was only available until 3pm. (Thank goodness id brought some snacks for the room!) We spent £205 for a three course meal for two with cocktails (I was asked by the lovely Felicity who served us if I wanted the rim of thw glass salted, but then 'happy Craig' brought it over to us with no salt ... he explained that there was no salt on the premises until I pointed out we even had salt on our table! I then was informed/lectured that it had to be rock salt or it wouldn't work???? Really! Lol ...
