"superb B&B in a quiet location"

superb hosts who put themselves out. I had forgotten my phone charger and Steve lent me his. Breakfast was superb. Cooked to order .Quality ingredients. My fresh fruit salad was outstanding. Marmalade and jam were Wilkins Tiptree. Excellent hospitality tray in room including home made shortcake, decaff and fruit teas, and hot chocolate. Bath wrap and slippers provided. Quality toiletries Located in an Edwardian semi detached villa in a quiet, tree lined residential street, 5 mins walk from south beach.

It had a shower, but I would have preferred a bath - the ensuite was not large enough for one.

Everything South Lodge Guest House is definitely five-star accommodation. Steve and Tony are exceptional hosts who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was the best we have ever had, the room was extremely comfortable, and the thoughtful little extra touches made our stay even more special.

The friendliness of the owners, the cleanliness and comfort of the room. All the extras to make it nice. Such as the homemade shortbread (which was yummy)

I liked every thing but the room was very light at 4.30 am. Maybe slightly thicker curtains but not a deal breaker.
