747 Motel

What a gem! When I'm rushing through a town with planes to catch I don't want faux Magrittes on the wall and fancy pants bedspreads. I want a roof, a bearable bed and pillow, sufficient blankets, a shower, towel and dunny. I don't want to pay for pretentious things I'll barely set eyes on. And that's what I got. A minuscule but clean and utterly functional monastic cell, with everything in working order, the bed firm and fine, no mass-produced pictures of Tuscany on the wall, and very pleasant staff. Cheap, functional, and as I left at 4.30 in the morning I knew I'd had a great sleep, no massive expenditure, and the world was okay. So a five star rating means I paid little, got exactly what I needed, enjoyed the welcome I received, and headed off refreshed. Great spot.

Definitely wont be staying here again. Sheets looked yellow and used, pillow cases looked like they hadn't been washed. Fridge and Heater are rusty, linen in the bathroom had stains. Really do I need to go on. I have stayed in a lot of Motels for the same price as this one, and they were a heck of a lot nicer.

The room was too small for my liking. Without a GPS the motel was also difficult to find. I did like the manager, however. He was very helpful and empathetic.

Duct tape covering a hole in the toilet. Needs a good paint and spruce up - a bit shabby but handy to airport and lovely staff.

Very disappointed to find the fridge had not been cleared and cleaned. Leftover food was not disposed of. The King size bed was in fact 2 singles pushed together and was not comfortable.

Run down place. Ok for a night (if it's a short one).

From the minute I made a booking with this property I was worried. Tried emailing them 2 or 3 times about late check in process but no answer. Phoned them and sorted that issue. Then had to change my date and was charged an extra $43 as apparently the same room type wasn't available so had to upgrade. When I arrived the room was the worst I've ever stayed in so doubt that I had been upgraded at all. You couldn't have got any lower in category if you tried. Shower was filthy with mould everywhere, based on that didn't even want to sleep in the bed. Lucky I was there for only 6 hours. My room (room 9) also had a cat door into it !!! Anyway needless to say I won't be going back and as a travel agent I will not be recommending to my worst enemy let alone my clients.

Not much room, very basic but good price., staff was friendly

My Mum and I stayed here on our WOW trip, we had a twin room which was great for us, we found this spot great, close to town and easy to get to, supermarket around the corner, and the best fish n chips just a block away. The staff were so friendly. This is a budget motel, but it is very clean, so what more could you want.
