747 Motel

As a solo traveller the single bed room was very adequate. Is on the airport and local bus route so very convenient and 5 mins walk to shops. Good value with microwave toaster etc provided.

Short stay for early flight, checked in fast & easy, slept well, left early

theres not much good can be said other than the staff were good the owners helpful. but in reality it was a uncomfortable week bed like a rock chairs hard to sit on noisy nieghbours . just a bad buzz and detracts from the helpfulness of the owners and staff. should have been less money for the grief

Would like reception to be open to accomodate hours that people fly into the Airport. Fine for a stay over prior to flight

Good simple accommodation in Wellington. Got in quite late but staff phoned ahead to make sure I could get access.

The night before arrival I received a text message asking what time I would be arriving. I found this odd. Usually you just arrive after check in is available. I replied that I wasn't sure but I estimated around 2pm - 4pm arrival. So before I even leave for a couple of days holiday I am already feeling the pressure of having to arrive somewhere by a certain time. On the day of my stay ali receive a call at 3.30pm asking what time I will be there, once again this is a very odd thing for accommodation to do. So feeling the pressure i cut my zoo trip short and head to the accommodation to check in. It turns out they wanted to head out to the night markets hence the reason they wanted me there! Really unprofessional. Killbirnie is not a nice town, I didn't feel very safe being in the room alone. The room was okay, the bedding looked nice and clean, and even had an electric blanket. The room was warm. Wifi didn't work at all the first night, second night i went down to see why it wasn't working and I had been given the wrong password at check in. Face cloth had dirty marks on it also, blind had mould on the bottom of it, but the room was cheap so I didn't expect it to be amazing.

Received a strange call enroute querying if we would arrive after 6 pm ish, when the staff would be off duty and some weird complication regarding check in that we ignored...arrived at dinner time and super nice guy in front flat gave us the key, and even changed our room when we requested a double. Room was over perfumed, TV setting a mess, cheap fittings throughout on the verge of causing major problems, power point behind bed smashed...BUT warm, clean and surprisingly quiet.

Stayed here with a group of friends over the weekend. Our room was good for the price and super warm even without the heater on. The electric blanket was a nice surprise and the wifi worked great. Was a bit disappointed with the lack of bench space our room had compared to the others would rather if had one less chair, and the only sink being in the bathroom also wasn't preferred. This meets all basic needs though and we did enjoy our stay.

What stands out when traveling? The welcome and the being made to feel welcome ! I have read the bad reviews but don't think this place deserves them. We arrived exhausted and staff were so understanding and welcoming. Location : under 5 minutes to a major supermarket and literally over road from aquatic centre- The rooms are fine - nothing flash but also not boring but very homely warm clean and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone. From central city catch bus 14 up over the hills for an amazing view also

We were very dissatisfied with this motel.. It had very strong smelling diffuser which looked suspect.. Paint was peeling off walls, duvet covers were dirty and stained,(I have photos of this) , the vanity had an unpainted ill fitting panel on the front of it. I would not recommend this motel to anyone...
