Hotel Macomber ADULTS ONLY

We enjoyed Hotel Macomber! This is our second straight year of spending our anniversary weekend here. Very romantic and relaxing

The location is awesome! And the staff was very accommodating!

Clean well kept steps from the beach.

The stairs, very small bathroom, 10am checkout. No access to coffee or tea in the evening.

Location and value

Within walking distance of many things we wanted to do, restaurants, etc. Quaint. Adequate parking. Clean. Staff polite.

No elevator. By the end of week I was tired of 6 flights of steps. The water was a mere trickle in the sink and you literally had to let the water run for 10-15 minutes to get hot water for a shower. There is not enough space in the bathroom for toiletries. The wire shelf hanging over the shower head is too open and travel size shampoos and soaps fall off. It is far too dark in the shower. One day we came back to the room. It had been cleaned and the maid left our door open. The lock was in right position but the door wasn’t closed completely. And they didn’t let us wash cloths. They had awesome bags in the room for new towels and they said you could purchase at the front desk. We checked out at 8-830 am and nobody was available to make the purchase. I was disappointed.

The location was excellent! 10min (walking) from Uncle Bills Pancake House, 10min from Washington Mall! Staff was super friendly! Also the lobby was playing music from Laura Pausini, we are huge fans of hers and were shocked to hear her every time we came in and out! Very well kept historical decor and feel!! Great Italian restaurants near by at reasonable prices! Awesome mini-golf course across the street! Great for any couple after a long day! Starbucks ice coffee machine next to mini golf is a plus! Walked everywhere, even our car got a well needed rest! Receptionist was super friendly and helpful! Our whole experience was amazing! We are hoping to get back around Christmas time! Definitely recommend staying here if you get a chance!!

No coffee/tea (or hot water) in the lobby. However we always bring our own stuff just in case! Wasn't any kind of deal breaker! They do have a great ice machine! There is a refrigerator in the room as well. Again it was nice sitting in the lobby relaxing on the vintage furniture listening to Laura Pausini before we headed to our room!

Less bitching men. There was no elevator, we were on the fourth floor. Regardless of age all of the men that stayed on our floor, including my husband, bitched about walking up and down the flights of stairs. Many of these men were much younger than I at 67, still they complained.

Perfect location across the street from the beach. Parked the car and just walked everywhere! Room was clean and quiet. Highly recommend
