Saxony Motel

The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast was limited, but acceptable.

The television did not work properly. It came on, but only showed 1 channel, which was broadcasting reruns of "Let's Make a Deal" from the 1970s or 1980s. The remote did not change the channels; it would only turn the television and cable box on or off and increase or decrease the sound.

Fairly economical; staff was really friendly! Rooms weren’t anything fancy, but they got the job done when just needing a place to lay our heads for the night. It’s also conveniently located across the street from a Tim Horton’s, so we had some good coffee for the road in the morning (since we had to leave before the motel’s breakfast started).

The sofa bed didn’t have sheets on it; it looked like it had seen better days. I’m sure the staff would have provided sheets had we asked, but we had our own blankets and so just made that work. Minor repairs needed here and there to walls and sink faucet. King bed was a tad lumpy, and the room smelled a little stale.

Breakfast was good and staff was very helpful.

Better security - only a single lock.
