We actually stayed in a sister hotel the Tipografia do Conto, which we absolutely loved! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a treat too.

Nothing could have made this place better,

In the end Casa do Conto was having some work done and I was upgraded to Tipografia do Conto for my stay. The staff were impeccable. Breakfast is served in a delightful room and was also of a really high standard. There is a lovely garden at the back and small pool which in the spring/summer time must be great. The location was a tiny bit farther from the centre than I had imagined but it was a nice walk up a largely pedestrianised shopping street. Each of the garden rooms has a balcony, there is a little Marshall Bluetooth speaker in the lovely bright room. The bathroom was clean, modern and spacious with high quality towels. The reception, lounge and bar spaces of the hotel are open and tastefully decorated with vintage furniture, ethnic rugs, books and lots of plants. The whole vibe is casual but chic.

The area. It wasn’t down town. The need to call for a taxi every time.

the location is not in the touristy area so it is less crowded and less noise. the staff were all very friendly, nice and accomodating.
