"The host and home are stellar. If you’re looking for an amazing bed & breakfast. This is it!"

We were welcomed so warmly by the Host/Owner Richard who kindly directed us to take a load off and unwind in the living room as he was finishing up checking in another guest. He then took a few minutes to get to know us and then took us on a quick tour and history lesson of the famous mansion. He then escorted us to our room and shared with us all the amenities along with the little functional nuisances of a very old home. Breakfast was fabulous and also a great communal experience with the other guests. It was a great weekend to relax, enjoy Winona and an opportunity to have a shared experience with others staying in the historic mansion.

Our host was so hospitable, kind and welcoming, but in some moments did over explain some minor details about our room accommodations and we were just ready to have some privacy and rest from a long trip.

The breakfasts were outstanding. The owner/host is so hospitable and engaging. The house is beautiful. Loved reading on the porch!

The chair and futon in the downstairs suite could be more comfortable for sitting.

"A beautiful getaway, in a lovely town, with incredible hosts!"

So unique and beautiful with an amazing history. Richard was a gem and although David worked mostly behind the scenes he was so kind and friendly. Our welcome was warm and inviting, David was so informative about the house and its history, our room was cl an and comfortable and breakfast was out of this world. All for an incredibly reasonable price. Our first bed and breakfast experience and I’m afraid all others will never quite match up to this one. Met some lovely guests and truly couldn’t have been happier. Can’t wait to go back.

The only thing I didn’t like was that I wasn’t able to stay longer.

This place is exceptional, the decor is breathtaking and the hospitality is next level. I will cherish the time I spent here, I would travel specifically for this place to be my destination. This place is an absolute treasure!

"A beautiful old B&B with a “Norman Rockwell” type experience."

This is a magnificent traditional B&B. The house is beautiful, well maintained, and exquisitely decorated. The host, Richard, was attentive and welcoming. The cost was significantly less than I would have expected. I highly recommend.
