Jumeirah Messilah Beach Kuwait

I recently stayed at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa and unfortunately the experience did not meet the expectations associated with a luxury brand like Jumeirah. While the property itself is attractive, attention to detail was lacking. For example, there was still a price tag attached to a bathroom wall tile, which was surprising for a hotel of this standard. The room was also missing some basic amenities, such as a vanity kit, and only one bathrobe was provided despite the booking being for two guests. Communication between staff members was inconsistent throughout my stay. Different employees provided different answers regarding hotel policies, which created unnecessary confusion. The most disappointing incident involved access to the spa facilities after checkout. I was advised by hotel management that I would be able to use the facilities, only to be denied access later by the spa reception. The pool area was also far more restrictive than expected, and the overall atmosphere felt less welcoming and relaxing than what guests would normally expect from a resort environment. In addition, the pool menu was quite limited and noticeably overpriced. I was particularly surprised to learn that requesting a simple cup of ice water came with an additional charge of around KWD 2 for a disposable plastic cup with ice. Charging guests for something as basic as drinking water in this manner felt excessive and inconsistent with the level of hospitality expected from a luxury hotel. Overall, the stay was not terrible, but it fell well short of the luxury experience and service standards I expected from the Jumeirah brand. I hope management will focus on improving consistency, communication, attention to detail, and the overall guest experience .

There are two pools, but children were allowed in both, so there wasn’t really a quiet adults-only pool The bathtub was not properly cleaned, as there were some hair residues left in it upon arrival. The smoking room also had a very strong cigarette smell and did not feel fresh or well ventilated.

For any delivery orders, guests had to go down to the reception to collect them. Delivery drivers were not allowed to bring orders to the rooms, and no staff assistance was provided for deliveries.
