Good overall. Felt the age of the room a bit.

We loved this historic mansion and would definitely stay again! Uber/Lyft readily available so we parked in the lot and either walked or got rides easily our whole stay. The mansion itself was beautiful and the room had everything we needed. The only negative was the breakfast- not worth the upcharge.

I was expecting a wow in staffing and all. The way the breakfast is done and the fact the front desk checking was not welcoming. It was not a pleasant experience no water in the room

Girgeous old mansion, amazing staff esp Suzanne, great shower and bed, walk to Oakland/Shadyside, large room and lobby has wood ceilings and artwork.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful! Suzanne at the front desk is a true professional, great first impression. This old historic mansion has stained glass, huge rooms, comfy beds and delicious breakfast. Centrally located to Shadyside and Oakland, 10 min from zoo(another must), 15 min DAHNtown/Strip. Friendly bartender in lobby and great artifacts. This is your best choice!

I really want to love this place, but it turned out just to be OK. Pluses were a huge room (Presidential Suite comprised 3 large rooms & two bathrooms) & a relatively fair value at price ~$350 for one night for essentially an entire apartment. Beds were also very comfortable.

Major ant infestation in multiple rooms including bathroom, but mainly throughout the kitchenette. I had to take everything we brought to eat off the counter & trash it. Then, the ants followed us in to the car on the way home. I think sone had crawled into our bags, so I emptied everything & threw it all in the wash as soon as we got home. Some of the staff interactions didn't match the vibe of the place (example: staff person sitting at reception at check-in, eating & talking with mouth open). However, staff person at checkout took off charge for breakfasts due to ants. It was really hard to enjoy eating it with ants crawling all around us in our room. I guess we could have eaten it downstairs, but the check-in person indicated it was typical to come downstairs to grab boxes & then take them back up to your room.
