Hydro Hotel

A well appointed ‘period’ property which has lots of charm and great facilities . The gardens inc putting and outdoor pool are a delight lovely outside terraces and lovely indoor lounges and bar . The dining room is a chandelier delight . The ground floor is stylish in a classical style . The staff are ultra helpful . Rooms are comfortable with tea/coffee equipment and fridge . Ample free car parking adjacent . The location gives views towards Beachy Head and being just out of town and away from the main road it is very quiet and restful . Would stay again and for longer

No aircon in rooms tho a fan is provided and at emery the wid we can be opened . To be fair we did stay when temps exceeded 30c

Beautiful location, staff couldn’t make you feel more welcome and the hotel is well kept.

Outdoor pool, garden staff were fantastic.

It was extremely hot due to heat wave , fan in the room was not very effective, but it was the same for all guests.

We had an enjoyable 2 night stay in June which we’d booked to watch some tennis at the annual Eastbourne Open tournament. The staff were polite, friendly and efficient, our room was fairly small with only a view of another part of the hotel but it was clean and comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space. Breakfast is served in the main dining room which is large and airy. There was plenty of choice including excellent fresh fruit. The heated outdoor pool was certainly a bonus. It’s not very large but there is room to have a decent swim and comfortable sun beds if you’d like to spend some time there.

The restaurants close fairly early in the evening. We didn’t get back from the tennis in time to have a meal because we like to stay until all the matches have been completed for the day. It would have been good to have been able to have a snack in the bar later in the evening.

Great location, high on a hill. Lovely relaxed vibe on ground floor area, comfy chairs to sit in, friendly staff, high ceilings, cool, beautiful garden and views, LOVED the swimming pool!! Tasty breakfast

It’s a classic oldish style hotel. Need to sort instructions for room safes which aren’t appropriate.
