Hydro Hotel

The Hydro is the love child of the Grand Hotel. We have stayed at both. The Hydro has that spectacular ground floor with grand stair cases and high tea overlooking the sea. Breakfast was superb and hot. It’s elevated, has a lovely garden with putting lawn, an outdoor heated swimming pool. Even when their car park is full there is stacks of free on road parking. The showers are a bit weak, but really the only thing I can think of. The bathroom oddly small and a bit of a climb into the bath for a shower, but the room was great (room 218). All the staff are very nice. It has a very nice feel to the place. We will be back.

Die Lage und der gepflegte Garten war super und auch die Sicht auf das Meer und die Klippen war sehr schön.

Unser Zimmer hatte einen dicken Teppich und hatte zwei Einzelbetter anstelle eines Doppelbetts. Zudem war das Durchschnittsalter zumindest als wir dort übernachtet haben bei 70+ Ich denke es gibt bestimmt die richtigen Gäste in diesem Hotel, aber für uns war dies nicht optimal.

No air conditioning but it was an unusually hot weekend, fans were provided in the room.
