Four Winds Country Motel

The air conditioner fan makes loud noises, the ceiling is peeling, we can hear noise from the other rooms basically I paid $250 for a $150 room

The only redeeming thing about this motel was that the bed was decent, allowing for a good nights sleep. The location was good for our planned local activities.

Advertised a kitchenette, but not a single extra item. No bowls, plates, plasticware, etc. Additionally, the room smelled of mildew or mold. Extraordinarily overpriced.

Good size room, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was also a good size but had peeling paint (ceiling) and other cosmetic issues. Whole room had a smell of smoke (Non-smoking room) and there was a roach. Ick. Extremely overpriced given an event in town. I will not use Expedia again.

It was the only property left as they had a big horse show on that weekend. Jacked up prices during big events

This motel is quaint in theory but in practice it is a place to avoid. Bathrooms are in disrepair (cracked ceilings and rusted heaters), the grounds are not organized with care (stacked and dirty chairs), the pool advertisement was false (not open due to “recent rain” when the neighboring hotel had theirs open just fine), and the breakfast offering was truly subpar. In addition to limited and low quality off brand items the owners/staff were walking from back rooms to the dining room, outside and back in, barefoot! That did not inspire confidence in the hygiene throughout the place. Avoid.

Pool was closed. WiFi barely worked and very slow when it did work. Poor breakfast.
