Inishbofin House Hotel

Location

Seems to be no one in charge . A lot of things not working properly . No lift at night time , door to bedroom opens sometimes ,but it could take five turns of the key . Breakfast hap hazard , missing basic items

Good location, liked the food, & Irish music.. staffs were kind

The heater didn’t work, the weather was very cold & windy.. so the room was very cold without heater..

Inishbofin is a magical place and this hotel benefits from the location

Leak in the ceiling, no apologies or follow up

We had a balcony room facing the sea..beautiful. Loved the recliners in the garden - get more! Great Lift to and from the ferry

We were taking the first morning ferry, & the breakfast was not ready when we went to the dining room. It was only being laid out, so we had a very rushed quick bite to eat before leaving. An unnecessary stress to start the day. I'm sorry to have to say that the breakfast itself is very outdated -only cheap cereal/yogurts , one bowl of sad looking fruit - if you don't like a fry. Sliced pan bread only. Very poor selection and poor presentation.

Hotel was extremely understaffed. Huge crack in sink Toilet roll not replenished Cleared dinner dishes from a table we chose to sit at as not enough staff On arrival had to clean the table myself and get my own scones as the staff member forgot our order. Rain waited dripped on pur heads as we sat and had a drink at reception. Reception left unattended Counted 10 tables full of dirty dishes throughout out entire time having breakfast Breakfast was not warm and food was not replenished. Hotel room was not served on day 2

Room was lovely

Hotel lacked atmosphere because residents eating elsewhere . No promotion of food and bar , seems that there has been challenges with securing chef, food on offer was fast and not appealing. so we really only got a BnB experience, not a hotel experience

The view of the harbour from our room was beautiful, and a great welcome. We had dinner in the hotel on the evening we arrived, and it was really lovely, my two boys asked to go again the next day, but I wanted to explore the island a bit more!

The room became very stuffy and hot during the night, and we were unable to open the window, it was locked. The only way to breathe was to open the door to the balcony, but there was a storm blowing outside and so we needed to wedge the door to stop it from banging. It was very disruptive to a night's sleep. At breakfast, there was a shortage of food served in the last 30 min (between 9:30 and 10).
