Almond Beach Resort at Jaguar Reef

We stayed at Almond Beach @ Jaguar Reef for our honeymoon in early November, and I can't imagine a better experience. Miss Kayla gave us an incredibly warm welcome, made sure we had everything we needed, and helped make our experience truly special throughout our entire stay. Thank you, Kayla! Plenty of outings were offered, and Elishia and the rest of the team at the concierge desk went well out of their way to help us book and schedule additional excursions with qualified local guides. We'd also like to thank Chris and Shameika for making my first-ever snorkeling trip so fun, beautiful, and memorable. The food on-site was exceptionally good--special thanks to Andy for the great service at Paddle House, and to Greg and everyone else on the Big Dock team for all the wonderful drinks, ceviche, and great conversation! The complimentary bike rentals made it really easy to spend time in the village for even more great food and unforgettable memories. Our room was beautiful and clean, with everything we could've needed. I'm so glad we came here, and we can't wait to come back soon!

This has been an awesome trip for my wife and I. It was our first time to Belize and we are so impressed with all the wonderful people. Staff at the resort, like Captain Larry, the beach captain, are always so kind. He’s always happy to see everyone and so energetic. He’s given great restaurant recommendations and other helpful info. Greg and Elisha in the tours office have also been great. When they weren’t able to offer the tour we wanted (slow season so we didn’t have anyone else interested in going to meet the minimum participants) she reached out to another small tour company who was willing to take us the very next day. Others around the village are also friendly, everyone often waving hi to each other or shouting greetings. The resort is very nice, but not too fancy or pretentious. We ate at several different places (here, other resorts, and in the village) - and everything has been great! The food at the Paddlehouse has always been good and well priced (it’s a little high for some things but it’s very reasonable for a resort option). I hoping to be back in the future.

We had a wonderful time. Beautiful resort, great food. So relaxing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Jasmine, Kayla, and Priscilla at the front desk were so great. All the servers and bartenders were friendly and helpful.

Our 3rd .time here. Should say enough! Shout out to Allll bartenders- Greg, Dude at Dock Bar (has baby boy) and the competitor repping you all in El Salvador! All were phenomenal! Ok- and let’s get to brass tacks. The service here is like no other! Cippy will drive you while sharing his unending local knowledge, and the ladies and gentlemen serving in the restaurant are like no other. Finally- Captain Larry. Oh Jesus- if this dude doesn’t make you smile ‘mama’, go home with your sad and negative self! Just go ppl- we could go anywhere… and we go here! Over n over…

My husband and I came to Almond Beach resort as the second to last stop of a 3 week long trip to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We reserved a room right on the ocean. It was perfect! The resort itself also had great amenities from the Dock Bar in which we did happy hour to the pool and the wood fire pizza. The staff at the resort were all super helpful and friendly, especially Captain Larry who gave us great recommendations for a few things to do during our short stay in Hopkins. We enjoyed the resort (and Hopkins in general!) so much we are already trying to find a time to come back for another visit to the resort.

My husband and I had such a great experience at this resort. The resort was so beautiful and the staff were beyond friendly. We felt welcomed by EVERYONE from the moment we walked in—including the front desk/check-in (Jazmin & Tyreek) servers/ bartenders (Charles & Jerry), security and grounds keepers (Elroy & Larry). It was slow season and we felt like we had such personalized service, made positive connections/ friends, and almost had the resort to ourselves. 10/10 would go back!

We stayed 3 nights at the resort and liked the location. It was off season so it was very empty. The food was overpriced and not so good. We had better food off site. The no see mosquitoes were horrendous and we wished the property would tend to that problem better.

The staff was amazing. Very attentive and helpful.

Just returned from a wonderful week in Hopkins at the Almond Beach Resort. I have nothing but great things to say about the super friendly and amazing staff, gorgeous grounds, and delicious drinks! We ran into an issue where we found some roaches in our suite and when we brought it to the staff attention, they immediately addressed it by upgrading us into one of the nicest suites on the resort! Thats why they get 5 stars. Shout out to captain Larry as well who not only cut down delicious coconuts for me, but also gave us some safety tips as we ventured into nearby towns.
