Northern Hotel Brechin

The rooms were beautifully finished and were very comfortable. The food was excellent.

I have stayed here a number of times over the last 4 years. Lovely hotel, friendly staff.

Great location in the centre of Brechin. Friendly staff and delightful decor make for a cracking place to stay. Our only negative was that the shower sprayed out onto the bathroom floor

A lovely place to stay . Excellent staff and very good food. The reception area and lounge is so cozy with a fireplace and coal fire, Rooms are comfortable with Coffee or tea making facilities. Excellent shower. A very old traditional hotel that makes you feel good.

Parking facilities are awful. Not enough parking spaces on the car park or outside. The amount of staff they had on at one time were unable to cope with the guests. There would be one person trying to run the bar and the reception and were waiting to see someone at reception a number of times. The rooms were fair for the price and had the utilities you would expect to find and was clean to a fair standard. There were two bars in the actual hotel (connected to a bar, shared car park) but one did not accept card and would only allow you to charge drinks to your room if you paid on arrival. The girls and the gentlemen who worked in the restaurant and desk were nice and helpful, however one gentlemen who I assume was a manager because he was not in uniform was quite rude.

Stayed here just as a 1 night stop over didn't realize the weekend we were staying the Harley Davidson bike weekend was happening when we arrived Friday pm woken very 6.30 early sat am by tractor and delivery truck moving road block sand bags ready for the start of the event hotel bar pleasant with adjoining pub type bar which was more basic. Staff pleasant room clean and comfortable for our needs its a quiet villageplenty of shops of places to drink / eat in at night although the hotel does have a restaurant. Breakfast was ok. Not fault of hotel that we were woken early we should have checked if any events on at time of booking.

Everything nice until the disco started, with very loud base, at 10.15pm and carried on until 1.00am

Nice comfortable rooms with good facilities and good location. Breakfast seems a little smaller than last time we were here but still very good. Staff were excellent and very friendly.

The staff was excellent and quite helpful. Made my stay successful. I was disappointed that the pub wasn’t open

Check in was slow, had ask for towels, noisy pub, Chinese takeaway restaurant attached. I ordered breakfast and after 30 minutes it still hadn’t arrived. People were served after me and I ended up not having anything a my taxi had arrived.
