Casablanca Suites Near Airport

We booked two rooms for two families. Upon check-in we were told that we needed to pay extra per additional person in the room (includes breakfast)because the rate we paid for in hotel.com was only good for 2 adults and 2 kids (12 years old below). The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and offered very good view of Mayon Volcano. However, the bathroom was problematic. The drain wasn't built properly so the bathroom floor flooded while showering. The breakfast was ala carte. Most of us ordered the Bicolano set because it looked appealing. However, the "new look" dried fish was very salty. The service personnel were courteous. Since the hotel has few rooms, it offered a home-my feeling. Kids loved the free wi-fi access in the rooms and hotel lobby.

Very nice hotel with a friendly staff. Staff is always ready to help out and take care of the occupants staying at the hotel I would stay in this hotel again.

Casablanca Suites, Alternate Road, is not to be confused with Casablanca Hotel situated in the downtown area. Casablanca Suites is elegant in its own right. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, safe enough to sleep and yet not too far to the downtown area. Cafe Rosenda's, in-house breakfast restaurant's, pili bibingka topped with pistachio ice-cream is to die for. Actually, my husband's strong liking for their version of 'maja blanca' with pili nuts is also strongly recommended. Their Bicolano breakfast is hearty enough to keep your gut filled up until the early afternoon. Quite interesting to see what goes on a plate of a typical Bicolano breakfast, to include their style of suman and 'adobo sa asin.' Must try. I commend the selling technique of their shuttle driver. With an upgrade to get a view of the Mayon Volcano from the room, the shuttle driver knew how to sell the upgrade by pointing out only an increase in 200 pesos a day. In fact, he did it better more than the front office clerk on duty.Commendable! Wished that the front office staff would be more knowledgeable on the attractions located in other towns. Perhaps an extra dose of curiosity from other travellers and locals would make a difference.Nonetheless, Casablanca Suites has a class on its own!

We took a tour of Legazpi and surrounding area.

This was a comfortable stay in a town with few if any higher-end accommodations. The staff is friendly and accommodating, although I got the impression that they are not used to dealing with a lot of tourists. Breakfast/restaurant was decent, but there are several other options immediately next door, and Pacific mall is a short tricycle ride away (20-30pesos). The air conditioner was an older, noisy window unit, which had a slight odor to it. Overall, a decent stay, and about as good as you're going to do here, but don't expect true western-style luxury.

Our room has a good view of Mayon. There were 3 of us sharing the room & it was comfortable & enough space for us. We didn't feel overcrowded. Bathroom is modern & has all amenities, i.e. shampoo, blow dryer, soap, towels. Staff very friendly. Included was breakfast & was enough to satisfy us. Hotel is fairly new & clean.

The rooms were good and there were good places to eat very near, but the wifi was open and not secured and not very strong.

This hotel does it all if you happen to be in Legaspi. Location is central, breakfast is great(English or Filipino), staff is there to help. Price is great for being in the Philipinnes

Appealing entrance and lobby. Staff were friendly and helpful, unfortunately there was no elevator for our tired and slightly limping sibling. The stairs were okay and had the middle area to rest for our 92 year old mother (our ages ranged from 52-92 years). We occupied two rooms which were both very roomy and clean. Our window faced a gorgeous view of Mayon Volcano and my brothers had a room facing the back of the hotel which was well-kept. Plenty of hot water, enough towels for every occupant and staff was available to provide extra provisions, when required. Food, ah it was all delicious! We ordered Bicol express, laing, adobo, fried chicken, sinigang, lechon, and pancit canton. Of course we had San Miguel beer...such a cold relief after the hot drive from Gubat (Sorsogon). Early the following morning the hotel's shuttle drove us to the airport which was conveniently located less than 2 km away. I would strongly recommend the hotel to my friends, families and others who are looking for a place to stay in Bicol. Personally...my siblings and our families will definitely stay in Casablanca Suites on our next visit to Philippines. Thank you, Casablanca!

We enjoyed our stay at Cocoon and will not hesitate to go back. Wonderful people, great service and very clean hotel. We went in as caterpillars and came out as butterflies at Cocoon :-)
