Cara Lodge, Comfortable Self Check-in En-suite Guest Rooms

Our second stay here as it is very convenient for the station and visiting a family member at a nearby Care Home. Clean and comfortable accommodation.

On the morning we checked out there was no hot water so had to suffer a cold shower. Although reported, and apparently someone came out to investigate promptly, the matter wasn’t resolved before we left.

Bright, clean, airy.

It was a large room and the heating went off at night. So it was cold. However it was -2 outside. There were no staff so I couldn’t rate them so it wasn’t an issue.

- bed comfortable - shower was good - easy to find - Kind message to let us know the details from the owner

- light was flickering in the bathroom - no signs to the shared kitchen/living room - quite small for the price - a mirror in the room would’ve been nice

Great location - close to the train station and nearby shops/places to eat. The room itself was very clean and had a cosy feel to it.

I booked the room for 2 people however there was only 1 large towel and 1 mug for coffee. Could have done with 2, but didn’t impact the stay much. Also I would have liked it if there was a bathroom bin

I really enjoyed my stay at Cara lodge this weekend, clean and comfortable and in a great location with easy access to the train station. Thank you Craig, I look forward to staying again.

The size of the room was amazing plenty of space
