Cara Lodge, Comfortable Self Check-in En-suite Guest Rooms

Location. A short walk from the station and just a few minutes walk to town. The place looks to be recently renovated, warm and clean.

Probably a small feedback of not seeing a staff around during my stay. However, messages are responded fast. Also, I think the communal kitchen should be a bit more organised.

It was clean and in a good location

Unfortunately the room we were in was on a main road and you could hear the traffic. Also, not sure about why one of the lights in the room was covered with an empty tuna tin!

Easy check in, spacious clean room. Lovely comfortable bed, cotton sheets and bedding, good pillows. Had a really good sleep.

On a particularly cold weekend there was no heating in the room. Because the room was huge I was freezing. There were radiators there but they didn't come on at all. I couldn't even warm myself up with a cuppa as there were no tea bags or coffee sachets. Also there was no shampoo/body wash Bit misleading on the welcome notes as it showed a photo of toiletries. It said tea/coffee making facilities (that meant a kettle was there) I think for the price. These things could have been included It's the only place I've been to that hasn't provided things mentioned. Also no hairdryer. Made no difference really because I couldn't have a shower as there was nothing to wash myself with. Carrying all that stuff is not an option for me because I'm carrying my back pack and travelling on the bus.

Good for solo traveller as was i, close to Train station 3/4 mins walk, accommodation was excellent, very clean and tidy, Recamend.

3 night stay in room No6. Perfect location close to train station and easy walk to town centre. The room was clean, warm, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and spacious with a great shower. Would definitely stay again.
