Room was comfortable. Breakfast good as was dinner. Staff very friendly and helpful

Cozy room bathroom was quite small, however, shower was good size. OK for one night though.

"Beautiful stay in a historic old inn in beautiful town."

A lovely, friendly, historic inn with rooms is how I would describe it. The staff absolutely made it. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and kind.

I think because its very old (been around for 600 years!) there are bits that are hard to modernise but the upstairs halls felt quite dated. I think more ventilation upstairs would help too. I don't believe our bathroom air vent system was working and it did feel quite stuffy.

The food was excellent. I would recommend the bone on lamb shank for dinner! The full English breakfast was also delicious.
