Holiday Bahrain Hotel

it's a good hotel. location is not much good. staff is friendly and helpful. room is clean and comfortable. service and housekeeping in fast reply. hotel is secured. price is fair. easy to go anywhere from the hotel.

it was a business trip, so all I wanted is a room to sleep. room itself is small, but very clean and organized. bathroom is clean. the location of the hotel is very good, if you want to buy anything you will find it around. a lot of restaurants, hypermarket, phone stores. everything. Disclaimer: My trip was on December 2014.

While the location is a little out of the way, it didn't bother me as traveling around the Gulf countries I'm comfortable enough just about anywhere. After having my flight cancelled from Riyadh to Bahrain, I grabbed a flight to Dammam and called the hotel before departing Riyadh. They arranged a driver to collect me in Saudi Arabia, and transport me over to Bahrain at 3am. After a very late checkin as the sun came up, the hotel desk clerk was welcoming and helped me checkin for my flight later that evening. Given how late my check in was, they were more than accommodating with a late checkout well into the evening.

Room was fine and clean ! New furniture. Slow wifi in the room for the price I could have stayed in a better hotel in down town Manama ! But what really bugs me is the attitude of the staff ! Not all of them of course! But the most . Slow and lazy receptionist hardly smiles . They don't have customer service experience what's so ever. Will not return that's for sure.

So first of all please let me say that previously I stayed at the Holiday inn express over 6 times during 2015 and thought it was a lovely hotel perfect for business trips large rooms and even larger showers and very clean and professional. However now this hotel is under "Holiday hotel Bahrain" and is very unprofessional and I couldn't quite believe what was happening. Firstly when I checked inn and rode the elvator I found 3 Eastern europien woman just riding the lift up and down and asking people if they wanted a drink together I was shocked. Then I was called on my hotel landline at 2am asking if I wanted to visit the spa on the 19th floor for a massage. I called down to the duty manager to ask why I had been called at 2am for a service I had shown no interest in and he simply said if I wanted a massage to go to the 19th floor. I then had two separate visits the following evening where ladies were knocking on my door asking if I would like anything and they were holding key cards so must have been staying at the hotel, finally a couple more calls from other rooms from girls asking if I need anything and I was ready to leave and never return. I will say that the rooms are still the same clean and large, the hotel has changed the mini bar method where they stock it full even if you don't want it and then make you sign for it all then when you check out they send someone up to the room to check it all manually before allowing you to leave so give yourself 15-20mins for this you cant check out in a rush. So this hotel is not longer the quiet professional place it once was and now seems to be aimed at a different type of clientele. I complained many times to management but little response and no apology was given. I will never be returning. Hope this review saves others from a similar experience.

I like the holiday inn brand for the reliability, you are not looking for luxury nor will you get it. The rooms are clean and well kept, the bathrooms are spotless and are supplied with plenty of hot water. The breakfast is a mish mash of Arabic and continental tastes, however the coffee is free flowing and there are plenty of seats and boiled eggs! Good service from the receptionists.

I booked this hotel but found it is no longer a Holiday Inn. I instead got an overpriced hotel room at which I got very little sleep thanks to the non-stop partying that was occurring on my floor and which is apparently permitted here. My phone was called, and my door was knocked on, repeatedly during the night. I would strongly advise other travellers to look at other hotel options.

No longer Holiday Inn went out of I H G now it is Bahrain Express didn't recognize any big changes i do not about the breakfast if it still complimentary or not because it was overnight sleep and early morning drive to home back

First I would like to clarify. This hotel is no longer a holiday inn express it is now just called the holiday in express. Nothing to do with the holiday inn chain anymore. Given that bit of information the hotel was clean and the staff was attentive. The breakfast service albeit not a buffet left something to be desired. Unfortunately I checked in on a Thursday and the Thursday evening proved to be quite loud in the hallway's. It seemed like a fraternity party was taking place. It was a clean place to sleep in a decent location for my business purposes. However I do believe I will look for other accommodations when I am in the city next time.
