Thursday night. June 2026. A big concert 12 miles down the road in Delamere Forest and we were the only guests . It was just surreal. But, it was very cheap and didn't pretend to be otherwise.

Well , the hotel is in a late 1970s time capsule. From the beds, decor to the furniture, TV and bathroom. The entire building does need a lot of TLC. With that in mind, it could be an absolute gem of a hotel. In the meantime it's a very rough pebble. Oh and they don't do breakfast !

In a lovely quiet place - handy for Manchester Airport and the business I was there to attend to. Everything worked efficiently. (No catering - other that a kettle in the room - was promised or provided.) The staff - one guy - was friendly and helpful.

It was not something that bothers me, but this place would not suit anyne looking for a glitzy or ritzy location. It is well due for refurbishment.
