Very friendly staff, welcoming and helpful. Lovely riverside location and beautiful walks. Decor was cool and bed was comfy. Room had everything we needed. Very dog friendly. Great size room and beautiful character full building. Gorgeous canal side cafe nearby that pub recommended. Dinner was tasty basic pub grub. Good portions, hot and freshly cooked.

The spa bath didn't work. The sealant around the bath was black and horrible looking, so we didn't fancy a bath, even without the spa working. The bathroom and room were otherwise clean but the toilet needed a refurbishment. The shower in the next door room was extremely noisy when used late at night and early morning. Our shower was equally noisy. The corridor smells of deep fried food and like the frying oil needs cleaning. The location is out of the way but lovely by the river. Just be sure when booking you know you're driving distance to most things except the local coop.

Lovely setting by the canal, we enjoyed a short walk to Thrupp in the morning after our stay. Our room was compact but cosy.

The ensuite shower room was dated. No dinner available on Sunday night but the low price of our one night stay reflected that.

Food (no choice, and soggy, over cooked vegetables).

Quite different from the “run of the mill establishments”. With the canal nearby and the lovely old buildings, and nice to deal with very helpful staff.

Comfortable near canal close to Oxford Park ang ride, staff very friendly.

Felt room was over priced especially as the breakfast was not included.
