"Low cost alternative to Kawasaki Train Station"

6.0

Live Max is a no frills hotel option that is conveniently located within walking distance of the Kawasaki Train Station. It is clean and reasonably priced if you're just looking for a small room without the amenities and costs of a larger hotel.

"Small access way, entry/lobby, elevator, room"

8.0

The staff was excellent and very helpful, but the access, lobby, elevator, and the room were too small. I understand that I reserved a smaller room, but the other aspects are descisions made by the hotel.

"Really good"

10.0

If you ever stay in Japan hotels especially anywhere near tokyo, they are small but all nice. This was the largest hotel room I have ever been in here in Japan and was clean with good service. The location was good and close to the train station, with a wonderful view of the main street..

"Depressing place"

2.0

I'd only recommend this place for those who are living on a dime and really need to save money or if they cannot find a room elsewhere. We had to stay here for 1 night because we couldn't find another availability close to where we needed to be. It is by far the most depressing place I've stayed at. I feel like I'm staying at a slum... the condition of this place is old, cheap, and run down. The non-smoking room reeked of cigarettes, so we asked for another room. Rooms are lit by stark fluorescent lights. The bathroom was barely big enough for 1 person, and we are petite people. Around 3-4am, we were woken up for over an hour by a "street worker" coming in next door, making lots of "noises" with her client, and then leaving... the sound barrier that the walls are supposed to provide is almost non-existent. The only positive things about this hotel are the location (close to Kawasaki Station) and the friendly staff. We will not be returning again.

"Too small for two people"

2.0

Only book this hotel if you are by yourself. I book a room for two adults and we got a single bed, so one of us ended up sleeping on the floor.

"Rather old, careful with late check-in"

4.0

The staff was helpful as with any Japanese hotel so no surprises or bonuses there. The condition of the place is rather old, noisy air conditioner. Still clean but not what I would expect for Japanese standard and compared to other equivalent budget hotels. Front desk closes at 11PM!!!! so be very careful if you're checking in late. I arrived late to a locked front gate which a building tenant subsequently opened. The front desk was closed when I went up but fortunately, the counter staff came back after a supper meal. Else would have been bad stuck outside on the streets on a chilly autumn night.
