Hotel Alegria

This hotel was just beautiful! It felt really homely and welcoming and the room was quite large for Europe. The only thing was that there was no lift so getting up to the second floor on a winding staircase was a little tricky although after speaking with the owner (such a lovely host!) they are adding a lift which should be fully functional in time for 2014 summer. Location wise it cannot be beat, off a little cobblestone street right near the main square. There is even a little garden out back to relax. All up, this is a magic little place and I cannot rave about it enough. 2 thumbs up!

This small hotel (B&B) really was beautifully renovated, though some wear and tear is beginning to show. Our room was very pretty and clean with a great view, lovely soft bedlinens, two comfy chairs. The main disappointment was that our bed unfortunately was mushy. Veronique was very nice to us but she is clearly stressed out. She seems to do everything - a lot of the cleaning, all the cooking, and handling all guest requests e.g. calling taxis, giving advice, etc. Breakfast was very good, with breads, fruits, fresh squeezed juice and eggs made to order.

We had a great stay at The Alegria. Good room with a lovely view. Very comfy bed. Just off the Markt so central location which was great for sightseeing. Excellent breakfast too. Would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in beautiful Bruges.

Stunning hotel right of the market square. Really good breakfast, big comfy beds and lovely views from the back of the hotel. Service was great and the staff could always give good advice and tips if you needed them. Cant recommend enough and for the location is a great price

Great location, one block to the main center. Excellent service by the owner. Very good and healthy breakfast. One inconvénient, no elevator.

Great little hotel just a short walk from the main market square. The room we stayed in was well decorated, clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely bath in the en-suite too. The staff were friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Highly recommended!

This is a wonderful boutique hotel. Really more of a B&B. Hotel is right off market square. Hotel is clean, comfortable and great breakfast included.

Great location....a short walk to the central market square. warm welcome and nothing too much trouble. room very comfortable with enormous bed. secure car parking (extra). breakfast lovely....good selection of fresh breads, cheeses, hams, plus cereals, eggs, fresh fruit. we will return for a longer stay.

What a gem! Close to everything in old town area. The room for three was great. Good size, very clean, just perfect. The lady who ran the place was efficient. We paid for the parking as well, a private garage, just around the corner. Breakfast was included. Great food both hot and cold food, nice setting, with little garden. I highly recommend this place. - SP

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. We were in Bruges for one night only so did not need a lounge area or an hotel bar or restaurant . We wanted a comfortable room where we could sit and recuperate after trekking around to see the sights before heading out again for food. [a room with 3 armchairs ,what a find.]The proprietor was very helpful. She let us leave our suitcases till we wanted to pick them up. She also let us check in as soon as the room was ready, rather than having to wait till the stated time. Our room overlooked the garden. The breakfast was good too.
