Hotel Alegria

The hotel was welcoming, comfortable and the proprietor was very helpful. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay (3 nights).

Lovely family run hotel. Room was very spacious and extremely clean. Breakfast was tasty with fresh juice & eggs cooked to order. Located right near the main square walking distance to everywhere.

Such a lovely family run hotel where the lady who runs it would go that extra mile!She gave us directions,organised taxis,offered information and cooks the best scrambled eggs!

Overall this is a great little hotel with a convenient location close to the centre of Bruges. The bath is nice and big with plenty of hot water and the rooms are nice and quiet. On the downside the blinds in the bathroom are see through at night, pillows are odd shaped and breakfast is a bit meager. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Comfortable bed, spacious, lots of plugs for charging devices. Fresh orange juice with an ample breakfast. If you are looking for something special, we were told you have to ask at the desk because staff is typically not going to start the conversation with a guest. It is a comfortable bed and breakfast for couple and families, and travel mates. For older couples note: the stairs are steep, narrow and winding; there is no lift. You are within walking distance of historic Brugge and very close to buses to the train staion or anywhere else in the city. Good restaurants are nearby.

Recommended! A beautiful hotel - clean, stylish & a very friendly welcome - we were given excellent local knowledge on restaurants nearby, all of which were excellent / as described. Superb location - just off Market Square on a quiet cobbled street with a coffee shop and small restaurants. Great breakfast - usual continental but with added touches - freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs cooked to order. Breakfast room overlooked very pretty garden. Room was spotlessly clean and stylish - nice wooden floors & high ceilings - with coffee & some teas, hairdryer, v nice bathroom & huge bed. Great hotel in an ideal location - I'd definitely return here.

When we first arrived at Alegria, for some reason I became hesitant about what we booked. We were on the second floor which was a little tiring but nothing compared to the Belfry! When we got to the room all reservations had gone, it's absolutely wonderful. Our bedroom was quite compact (mainly due to the super king size bed) but more than fitted everything it possessed. I liked that the shower room size hadn't been compromised. Perfect location, just up the street from market sq. Staff more than happy to give recommendations when asked. Breakfast was lovely, good selection and they kept well on top of refilling etc. absolutely wonderful stay, really enjoyed and would recommend. Thanks Team Alegria

We were very pleased with our choice of the Alegria Hotel. We couldn't fault it. The care and attention to make our stay comfortable and welcoming was excellent. We would definitely stay there again and will be recommending it to all our friends.

Arrived before room was ready, but were able to leave our overnight bags. Room was compact but lovely. Modern bathroom. We left the windows open during the night because it was warm and got mozzied! Situated on a road which has some vehicle noise. Breakfast was fine although we had to 'find' quite a bit ourselves, the lady seemed busy and only told us where not to sit! We also left our bags after checking out, overall staff were very obliging and helpfull.
