Hotel Villa Condesa

Breakfast was good. Location was superb. Hotel had potential (...but did not live up to it.) After a while we became accustomed to the reserved nature of the hotel employees - not what one expects from those in the hospitality industry.

Our room initially was completely unacceptable - a 3rd floor walk up involving a treacherous tight spiral staircase. We refused to stay in that room for reasons of our personal safety. We were next moved to a cramped room on the first floor - I can't recall if we stayed a night in that room, or immediately managed to get another room on the first floor. This one was much better. Our main grievance had to do with inadequate (ie none at all) heating during an unseasonably cold and rainy spell. Our damp clothes would not dry, and we shivered through the night. It was only the last day that I decided to complain about this - and voila, they provided us with a space heater that solved our problem. It would have been nice if they had offered us that option days earlier. Suggestion to travelers: Try to get a corner room on the second floor.

The location was perfect for us and the breakfast and dinner was also very good. It was very home made and tasty

A simply marvelous boutique hotel in the very walkable Condesa neighborhood. Just a few blocks from Amsterdam Ave [the walkable, garden like ex-hippodrome]. Plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Staff was exemplary. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, but they were good meals.

There was no way to keep the window open in ground floor and it was too hot without appreciation

Always a pleasure staying here. This was my second time. The suites are really nice and the guava jelly, I got 3 bottles to take back home. Sucha. good location also. and the staff is such good people.

El desayuno espectacular y la ubicacion es inmejorable... un lugar tranquilo, cerca de todo pero a la vez se respira un ambiente de mucha paz y practicamente cero bullicio de la ciudad. Una excelente opción para quedarse hospedado en la Ciudad de México... hotel pequeño y de ambientes perfectos !!!
