BJØRVIKA APARTMENTS, Teaterplassen, Oslo city center

The apartment was a great home away from home with a toddler. It was located beside a grocery store and close to transportation. We travelled as a larger family and the only downside was I did not realize the apartments would be in separate buildings; however, they were all very close and it was not an issue. The only downside was the apartments get hot and there is no AC, but one fan and the windows opened wider than we are used to and at perfect toddler tripping height. They would be very handy for adult travellers though! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommended this company to others!

The apartment was in a location that was easy to access the city. It was clean. We were surprised that every window of the apartment had scaffolding and tarps outside. This was tricky with not only the view, but cooling off the apartment via breeze, and privacy. There were some men outside our daughter's window first thing in the morning. In the advertisement, the apartment has nicer furniture and pretty views.

CAUTION: the key pick up is two blocks away from the the actual apartments. if you have a lot of luggage, you will be dragging it for a while. I wish the instructions about where the office was would have been more specific. It was decent, the double bed is two twin beds put together. the second remote was not working which was disappointing. the QR provided for wifi was wrong, so we had to call the office and found out that its the code on the router. Advantages: close to train and bus stations, close to many major attractions, close to lots of restaurants!

The office was not easy to find, at first. But the area was very convenient and we enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, our views were blocked by scaffolding and construction, but we still had a good stay. Kitchen was utilized and one room had a washer that was also a dryer.

Carefully consider before booking this property. You are renting from a large company with 400 units in Oslo that is extremely difficult to get a hold of if things go wrong and makes no apologies for misrepresenting the units that you actually get (vs those advertised). The inside of the unit was fine - clean but very basic. Minimal towels, ok beds, below average pillows and zero ‘extras’ you might normally expect (paper towels, extra pillows/blankets, coffee filters etc). The building itself is gross in the common areas - dirty and sketchy… dark. Check in was a disaster as the key didn’t work and there were no maintenance workers available when we arrived (7pm) and there was no apologies by the lady at the office (which we had to walk to because no one answered our multiple calls) when it was suggested we might not get into the unit until next morning (which was very concerning given we had our two kids with us and no other real options). Fortunately someone from the office was able to fix it 4 hours (11pm) after our arrival. I am sure there are better options out there and I highly highly encourage you to explore those.

We believe in recycling however when checking out we do not expect to walk aways to drop off glass containers. We also did not like that the entire building exterior us undegoing repair so the building is covered by scaffolding and plastic draperies so we could not see out any windows.

Apartment was large with 2 bedrooms that easily fit 4 adults. Had a full kitchen and living area so that was very useful to spread out. Did not have kleenex or paper towels, but had towels and toilet paper. Shower was a disappointment due to the small size and awkwardness of flooding the area since there were no separation from toilet area. Our location was darker and not as open as the pictures depicted, but we did have enough space. Apartment was a little tricky to locate and seems to be embedded in with long term residences. Good location near Oslo Central Station and close to Munch museum and the Opera House, and many middle eastern restaurants.

Stayed with this company before and it was great so chose them again. Should I come to Oslo again I will likely choose them for a 3rd time as I have no complaints.

We had a lovely stay. We received helpful communication before we checked in, they were incredibly helpful. The apartment was very centra, which was ideal. We found it great for our short stay, but would also be ideal for a longer stay. Would definitely recommend.
