On arrival we were blown away by its opulence and wonderful setting.best hotel ive stayed in in a long time and ive stayed in many. The room was beautifully decorated in keeping with the ottoman style. Lovely position on the river just a short walk to the centre. would i stay here again, oh most definitely wouldnt book anywhere else. Staff all very helpful even when language was a problem we got by as mostly turkish speaking staff.

"Best place in town. Quiet, excellent service, clean, comfortable."

10.0

We first visited here six years ago, and loved it. We went again recently and were even more pleased with the comfort and service. There are other nice places in town, but none that have the quaintness of an Ottoman motif, the comfort, quiet hotel with friendly and top notch hospitality.

"The perfect getaway"

10.0

My wife, her sister and I stayed at this lovely hotel and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. Everything looks like in an Oriental fairy tale, from the lounge to the rooms (which were very cozy). The staff was amazing and we felt at home from the start! The hotel has a lovely garden right next to the famous Azmak river (If you take the boat tour along the river you will see that it is the nicest garden of all the hotels in the area). I highly recommend this hotel to couples for a romantic getaway, for families for a peaceful holiday or anyone else who is looking for some peace, nature and great hospitality.

"I great place to stay"

10.0

We just went there for a short trip and the hotel is beautiful and its staff have been super friendly. The hotel is nice and clean and always good for a short break. Its only a short walking distance to the river and the port and the pool looked great even we could not use it as it was still winter time.We will come back in summer :-)))

"Authentic , well decorated hotel"

10.0

Located next to the cold river (water supply flowing to the sea), each room has a separate authentic design and charm. The mist of the night flows from the river to the garden through a mild September evening. Very calming and distancing atmosphere, a good stay.

"Excellent Place"

10.0

We needed a place where we can go with my wife to relax, sunbath, eat, enjoy and swim in peace. This place gave us all we need. Staff was so friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good (open buffet), space in front of the hotel is excellent to laydown, relax and sunbath. It is right next to Azmak river which gives you another level of feeling. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely visit again.

"Quaint hotel with lots of attention to decoration"

8.0

The hotel is well located for an easy stroll into town and to the beach. We arrived early from our boat trip and the staff were very helpful in giving us rooms straight away and even helped us move a couple of hours later to the room we had booked. The rooms and all the public lounge areas are well decorated and much thought has gone into the details. There is a nice pool area and a row of loungers along the river bank where guests can relax. The grounds are not well tended with long grass and weeds but it is easy to see how good it could be with just a mow and a tidy up. We were due to leave early the next day before breakfast is served and the staff kindly allowed us to eat breakfast on the day of arrival instead of the day of departure. Probably because we came in at the end of the breakfast time there was not much choice and the breakfast was only average. The highlights are the staff and the decorations which allow you to see something new all the time.

"Perfect location"

10.0

İts ideal for relax time and run out of city centre. You can reste near the lake and its 5 minutes to walk Akyaka centre. There is magnifique sea view and not too deep, you can also walk on the sea . If we come again stay there, nice and modern authentique hotel.

"Boutique Opulence"

8.0

I stayed here for a conference and it is the best hotel I've stayed in Turkey (mind you I don't normally spend this much)- the room has a double bed, en suite bathroom with all the mod cons. The only downside was that there was not screen on the patio doors so even though the weather was cool I couldn't let the air in because of all the mosquito's - due to the riverside location. So I had to have the air con on instead. Breakfast was more extensive than the typical fare and the bar was a welcome sight. It's only a short walk into the village centre and there are lots of restaurants nearby. A charming hotel in a charming part of Turkey.

"Best hotel in Akyaka"

10.0

All of the good reviews are true - this really is a lovely boutique hotel in a great, peaceful location overlooking the river. Lounging by the river it felt like being in a nature reserve watching birds and butterflies. Sedat is the most helpful, cheerful, lovely guy you could hope to meet and really made our stay. Dumas, the house dog, was unbelievably, just as cute as described in other reviews. When we first arrived, I have to admit to being a little disappointed because the whole place looked a lot smaller than expected, but we very soon came to relish the fact that it wasn't huge as this meant it was intimate (without sacrificing privacy). You have to remember that this is a boutique hotel, not a large corporate. But it is beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and the staff (although not always speaking English) were friendly and caring. I have to make a special mention of Sedat whose English is excellent, but moreover such a friendly professional that he actually improves your stay. He is a real credit. We actually stayed in 2 different rooms - firstly one of the third floor suites, which was quirky, set in the eaves. It was a lovely room but the sloping ceilings didn't work for my 6'3" partner who kept banging his head! They were great and moved us to another room (the corner room) as soon as one was free. The corner room was beautiful and we would choose again - well worth the extra cost. Outside there is a small pool area (big enough to swim in and fed by water from the stream), and plenty of good quality sun loungers and parasols. The gardens lead down to the river and there are trees all around, so a haven for wild life. The walk to the beach lined with restaurants is about 10 mins max, but our favourite place to eat was the hotel as the view and service simply couldn't be bettered. This was our first trip to turkey and we loved Akyaka and this hotel. I'll put a short review of our views of akyaka (for what they are worth as first-timers!) shortly.
