"It is ok"

6.0

The room was a bit small, and the pool area was really not nice, but i guess given the price it is acceptable. Buffet breakfast was so so with limited choice. Overall the hotel feels a bit old and not super clean. The housedog was so lovely and sweet, very sociable.

"smiling management / cool ottoman sytle interior design / luscious breakfast"

10.0

firstly, me and my wife were in seach for a quite and cool place for our small trip... after a detailed search, we found this peaceful place named akyaka and this lovely hotel on tripadvisor. the comments were mostly favourable on trip advisor so finally we decided to stay in this boutique style hotel at the end of august for 3 days. i would like to emphasize that this is the best boutique hotel that i have ever stayed in this region.. outstandings: -smiling and merry personal (especially mr. sedat he is so polite and efficient ) -luscious breakfast.(most of the food are organic because of the village bazaar) -delicious ala-cart menu with multiable choices. -cool ottoman style interior details (if you like authentic things, you will like the room design..and one more thing, i really loved the niche bed in the room. good point! -nice resting backyard by the river (after taking breakbast, you can enjoy in this area) it was a really nice experiment. thank you..

"A hotel full of character"

8.0

We stayed in the Konak for a week while kitesurfing and really enjoyed our stay. We decided to spend a little more on the hotel rather than get the cheapest room and we were really glad we did. The hotel has so much character and charm, set next to the crystal clear river. The staff are very friendly and happy to help. If we had gone on any excursions, I'm sure they would have sorted everything. The 'penthouse' room was very spacious and had character but the living room felt a little dated with an old looking sofa and kitchenette that was totally empty. The air conditioning unit in the bedroom had the brightest array of lights that required covering with towels every night.wever, overall, this is a great hotel. Eating outside on the patio was very nice (and we were even given bug spray!), watching the world float by while eating very good food. You have the choice between swimming in the pool, which is a treat, especially in the evening when half is in the sun and half in the shade or swimming in the refreshingly cool river. Overall, this is a great hotel and we would recommend it to anyone (other than backpackers).

"Amazing holiday with Duman"

10.0

We spent a week in this absolutely lovely, adorable place. The hotel is located near the river with a crystal clear water, very very cold but extremely refreshing especially during hot days. The area is surrounded by beautiful mountains and its 10 minutes walk from the nearest beach. We loved our room. It was elegant and cosy. But it's not only this great location and very nice style of hotels architecure what makes us want to come back as soon as we can... When we arrived to Ottoman Konak I noticed a little doggie on a sofa and it was a love from a first sight :). The dogs name is Duman and he touched my heart in a special way at this very first sight. The dog spent all nights with us laying quietly on the carpet and he was a great companion to us in all our walks to the beach. He was with us till last moment when i couldn't stop crying for goodbye. I can't describe how much I miss him. The food at the hotels restaurant is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. This hotel has also one more treasure and this is the person of Sedat, hotels waiter that is extremely friendly and helpful, anticipates your needs before you even realize them. Everything was just perfect but it is Duman and Sedat who made our holiday so very very very special. Thank you.... We will come back definitely!

"A great experience all round"

10.0

We stayed for several days. Gets quite busy in the summer months, but the hotel was good for relaxing and avoiding the crowded beaches. The service was very very good, particularly from Sedat who was fantastic, chatty and so helpful with information and suggestions. The decor was a little excentric, but i would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Palatial elegance"

10.0

We spent 3 nights at the Kerme Ottoman Konak in Akyaka. The hotel is palatial. There is so much detail and fancy furniture that it's a bit like staying in a museum. There is lots of open space with an atrium to the top floor. It's a wonderful and awing experience just to walk through the lobby. The space is tastefully broken into small areas giving each a feeling of intimacy. You don't really want to leave once you've arrived. It is incredibly beautiful. The rooms are large. We stayed in Room 304 on the top floor. We chose this room as we thought it would be quiet and it was. We could hear neither noise from the lobby or other guests. Our bedroom was cleverly placed so that it did not share a wall with other rooms. This made it very quiet which is what we wanted as i'm a terribly light sleeper. We did get some road noise from out front which died down as the evening progressed. It's probably quieter on the back side of the hotel but we were concerned about pool and patio noise. This turned out to not have been an issue when we stayed but still it was something to consider. The long and short is i'm a very light sleeper and had no problem sleeping. Room 304 has a combination kitchen, dining, living room. This was a great place to hang out or lay out all our stuff. The furniture was comfortable. The bedroom was also large with a desk at one end, a small dresser at the other end and night stands on each side of the bed. The bed was comfortable being neither too hard or too soft. The bath had ample space with a nice shower and room to put our toiletries. This was a great location for day trips with easy access to the highways but far enough that you can't hear them. The hotel is also in a quiet part of town well away from the restaurants and other hotels but close enough that you can walk there in a few minutes. We recommend Mama cooks. A small restaurant run by a mother and daughter who make delicious home cooked meals. The menu changes daily with only a few choices. It felt like you were eating at a friends house, a friend whose an accomplished chef that is. We ate there twice as it was so good and the atmosphere lends itself to meeting and talking with the other guests. It's also reasonably priced. Great soups, meza plates and entrees. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with warm, welcoming smiles. There is wifi throughout the hotel. However we could not get it in our room. We had to sit just outside the room to get our email. The staff said they would try to get us a booster for our room but they did not have one available. I think only the rooms on the top floor have this problem or maybe it was only ours. Breakfast was very good with plenty of cold and hot choices. One morning they had omelets that were delicious. When I asked about them the 2nd day they said they were having something else but offered to make me one. I declined deciding to try the new dish. But if you want something, ask, they will try to oblige. The back of the hotel is very relaxing with plenty of places to sit. We loved the pool. One cool feature is that one wall of the pool is glass looking into the downstairs of the lobby. It was fun to take photos through this glass of each other swimming under water. The hotel easily deserves the 5 stars we gave it.
