Hotel Haus Rheinblick

Booked the Hotel Haus Rheinblick for an overnight in Dusseldorf before travelling on to Dortmund for a family wedding. Paid a fairly low price so I wasn't expecting the Ritz. I had to check in at another hotel around the corner the Hotel Alt but no drama it was only a short walk away. However, after coming in on a late night flight, the last thing you need is the receptionist telling you you haven't paid when you know darn well you have. I had to faff about with my phone, getting up the relevant emails to prove I had paid in advance. Then I was asked what time I would like breakfast, I requested 9.30am and was told that was not possible and I would have to take breakfast at 8.00am, so I didn't bother. If there was no choice, why ask me my time preference? Having said all that the Rheinblick itself is fine, comfortable beds and a nice, warm, easy to operate shower too. It's a pity the reception took the gloss off what was otherwise a perfectly adequate stay.

It was like sleeping in a box literally! No AC in 80 degree weather and was afraid to open the window. Shower in that box room too! The toilet was a Public toilet in the hall. Just felt like I didn’t want to touch anything even tho is was clean.

Hotel muy bien situado, a un minuto del rio Rin dónde poder ver una puesta de sol mágica. Hotel simple, tamaño correcto, limpieza correcta y baño correcto. Muy pequeñito y tranquilo, para mi fue genial. El desayuno bien, panecillos, fruta, embutidos y quesos.

Basic but clean Altstadt hotel with good breakfast and nice bar. Slightly noisy at night.

There was no in house highly

Zuerst wurde ich vom einen ins andere Hotel geschickt. Da ich die einzige sei, die da übernachten würde. Das andere ist noch direkter in der Ausgangsmeile, zum Glück hatte ich ein Zimmer nach hinten. Das Zimmer war sauber, für eine Übernachtung okay. Vielleicht könnte man noch lernen, wie man ein Leintuch richtig anzieht! Am Abend waren in der ganzen Gasse alle Lokale voll, nur dieses war leer. Wenigstens konnte man sich einigermassen in Ruhe unterhalten. Warum immer alle Fernseher laufen müssen und die Dauerberieselung ist mir ein Rätsel. Dafür ein gutes Frühstückbuffet. Für eine Übernachtung ganz okay.

A quick solo trip to Dusseldorf and needed a budget hotel near to everything. This fit the bill as being an inexpensive hotel right in the Altstadt (old town) area. The hotel was on a relatively quiet street, however there was a bar opposite that had music until about 10pm. The double glazing was effective at keeping the noise out. The breakfast had a nice selection of typical German options (cold meats, bread, cheese, cereals, etc). Some days the breakfast was served from the nearby sister hotel. I would stay here again for a short trip if I were trying to travel on a budget.

Spent a lovely long weekend in Dusseldorf visiting family that I hadn’t seen for years. Hotel was lovely and clean and just the right size for a solo traveler. Breakfast was nice and hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Location perfect in the Altstadt near all the bars shops and amenities, with good public transport links to get around the city and to/from the airport. All in all a very pleasant stay, I’d highly recommend it and will definitely stay again in the near future.

Hotellihuone pieni, toimiva. Kylpyhuone hyvä, kuumaa vettä. Aamupala loistava, mutta piti kävellä ulos toisen hotellin ravintolaan nauttimaan se. Viikonloppuisin läheisestä hevirock-ravintolasta kuului bassonkumu aamu-4 saakka. Henkilökunta ystävällistä. Ravintolakadut lähellä, samoin taidemuseot, ooppera, musiikkitalo ja tanssitalo. Köningsallee-kauppakatu lähellä. Päärautatieasemalle kilometri. Rein-joki ihan vieressä. Voin suositella, jos ei halua hotellilta luksusta. Luksushotelli Medici oli vieressä sitä haluavalle.

К сожалению я не останавливалась в этом отеле, так как по приезде на ресепшене мне было сказано, что все номера заняты и нас отвели в отель Олд Дюссельдорф. Тем более, что и ресепшен и завтрак были именно в этом отеле. Так что оценить могу только его. Номер маленький, но достаточно комфортный, завтрак разнообразный, цена демократичная. Самый большой минус в том, что заявленный бесплатный WiFi был только на первом этаже рядом с ресепшен, а на расстоянии 10 метров его уже не было.
